Circa 2003: Gov Rick Perry advances Muslim teachings; builds mosque; sets up Texas Sharia Court
Texas Governor's Office | Circa 2003

Then-Gov Rick Perry signs agreement with the Aga Khan--Muslim leader.

“It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims.

Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership."

"We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.”

In April 2004, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and Univ of Texas-Austin finalized a grant proposal that created the partnership that became known as the Muslim Histories and Cultures Program (MHC).

MHC recruited and directly trained 80 teachers affecting approximately 15,150 students of World History and World Geography in ten key Texas districts in 2005 and 2006.

The purpose is two-fold 1) to fulfill Governor Rick Perry’s desire to better educate Texas teachers on Muslim topics and 2) to train teachers to use a cultural lens approach to understanding other cultures.

Governor Perry was instrumental in getting this program off the ground (and was helpful in getting a triumphal mosque built in Texas and placing Sharia Law in the Texas justice system). ####

” just another item that will keep Perry from higher office.”.

DITTO! If Perry thinks he can escape that issue, he is got another think coming. He’s toast as a potential POTUS.

One of the most dangerous threats to the American way and Perry is at the forefront of establishing it’s implementation. A naive and dangerous position for sure. Let those who would support him for any form of further leadership in this country be warned.

Ah ... thanks for the numbers. I thought I had read somewhere that Texas had the most. Glad we don’t, but we have too many, IMO.

Can you imagine the mayhem if we experience an uprising here? It’s gonna be ugly.

It matters not that Perry has a career of pandering to non-Americans and enemies of this country. His liberal, faithful followers will always defend him.

My tagline is reason enough to reject this mumbling moron as a serious contender for the Republican nomination. But with the Perry faithful, it seems to make him more appealing. Strange lot.

I still favor the man inspite of the smears. The smear campaign indicates fear. He has stood up to Holder/Obama. he has declared his state/s disdain for the federal tyranny

He can be a liberal killer

His actions don’t mean he is gung ho on the subject

Absent the fearsome rick, Walker is next.... are they going after him?

Good post. Discussing RINO Rick’s liberal past may not set well with his cheerleaders, but it needs to be discussed.

D'ja hear? Ricky can be a fearsome "liberal killer" (snort).

Ricky'd be even more fearsome if voters would confiscate the tube of crazy glue he uses to attach himself to Muslim and latino voting blocs.
