“Get the lawyers off the battlefield.” Col. Ralph Peters
He [the poster} did ask. The sincerity of his inquiry is open to question. Their [his mates] responses probably had as much weigh on the decision the authorities made as our votes made in the 2014 midterms. To wit: none.
The military needs a medal for cannon fodder. Awarded to soldiers sacrificed to further the agenda if their CIC and direct supervisor/superiors.
A big brass one with an engraving of a man shot into a brick wall via Howitzer. And it should be presented by the officers in question in front of a TV camera and a collection of the Fodder’s family and friends.
We are the people we have been waiting for afterall. It could be no other way.
Thank you for bringing this up.
Of course he’s at fault. He misunderstood the enemy and didn’t give them hugs.
Anyone that would look at startrek is lower than a 2 year old idiot as far as i’m concerned.
As far as the crap behined someone’s name, i’ve never even looked at it and don’t know who puts it there.
Your literary and viewing opinions are about on par with Ebert. Not being able to differentiate blatantly obvious sarcasm and then trying to brass your way through it as if I offended your mother is rather like the two year old you mentioned as well. It’s really not an existential level crisis here. It was a joke. Laugh or don’t.
Either way, not my problem. It’s yours.
You remember what Ralph Peters recently said about getting the lawyers off the battlefield? I give you Exhibit A.
In re Winship (1970), the doctrine of reasonable doubt applies to all the essential facts necessary to prove a crime.
I need to check, but I think the Winship decision reads ...
"(We) explicitly hold that the due process Clause protects the accused against conviction except upon proof beyond a reasonable doubt of every fact necessary to constitute the crime with which he is charged."
Amen to that.
