Ten bucks says a President Cruz would have gotten some very practical advice from his closest advisors, and would have had a last-minute change of plans.
Why?
Damn right he should have , but lets not forget he probably never got permission of Chewbacca who wanted him home and for him to watch the football game.
Yet again the Lazy in Chief has disappeared .
I’ve been a bit confused by this too. It would have been too much of a pain to have gone to this. The amount of security and logistics would have been a waste of tax money.
But I’m not going to stand in the way of the firing squad.
Barry needed to watch the playoff games.
You don’t consider the current occupant of our White House an American, do you?
First time he made a decision that actually saved the taxpayers money.
No, but what did this farce of a march actually accomplish?
It’s amazing how the political angle of this story has turned everything upside down. I think most Freepers would have rightly scorned a Republican president who attended a rally like this in France. LOL.
Obama wanted to be there... for the counter-protest.
Since when do Freepers fall for “Symbolism over Substance” anyway?
No he shouldn’t. The Secret Service would have made a circus of the whole event.
A President Cruz would have been there.

I’m not so sure. After all, this turned out to be a giant apology-fest to Islam. As Hollande himself was making excuses for Islam and just today - Merkel of Germany was kissing bleep with the muzzies.
I would hope if Pres. Cruz WAS there he would have angered and infuriated the rest of these Euro-weenies with their muslim suck-up attitudes.
Real leaders don't march at a "unity rally" like that.
They called it a “Unity March”, but they wouldn’t invite Le Pen or Farage.
The only “March” I want to see is French troops “Marching” into the No Go Zones.
I absolutely disagree with Cruz on this, and I'm surprised there aren't more conservatives who see it this way. I can't think of any basis for the belief that a U.S. leader has some kind of moral obligation to show up at a political rally in a foreign country. I can't even compile a picture in my mind of Ronald Reagan doing such a thing ... in France, of all places. |
You get no argument from me. After all this turned out to be a huge apology-fest with Euro-trash leaders falling all over themselves repeating the same old Obama; "We are not at war with Islam, blah, blah, blah..."
