It made a 180 degree change in my sons attitude. He was starting to run with the wrong crowd until the football coach got ahold of him.
My son had not said anything about college and I asked him if he wanted to play when he went to college and he turned to me and said, "Yes, I do."
He got into a 2D school as a preferred walk-on, but suffered a shoulder injury that knocked the want to play out of him. However, all of the good habits he learned saw him through a four-year degree.
