Were they hauling prisoners to a prison? There is a prison right off I-20 in that area.

It was a pick up run. Abilene is a hub where jails send their prisoners to be picked up to be transported to wherever they’re to be processed before being placed with the state. The prisoners are usually on their best behavior during these trips but you never know. They think it’s fun to start rocking in their seats to make buses rock which could cause an accident. The weather was fine this morning so that wasn’t the cause.
