“As a result of this legislators in Mass. (R and D) have put forward bills ranging from fines, jail time and manslaughter charges for nonsense like this.”
Yes, progressives need more and more laws. If the police collected the chained-together people onto a flatbed and took them someplace where they are not blocking traffic, they could leave them there and say, call your friends and backers to unchain all y’all, have a nice day, we would not need a new law or five.

I don't disagree with you at all. But in the society we've devolved to, especially in terms of litigation and the judiciary, the scuzzy protestors would end up very, very wealthy when it is all over.

Stupid should hurt, bad. These idiots should have been left on the side of the road to think what they have done. Let their dumb little friends figure out how to get them out.

Whole lotta ugly going on there.

Just use a front end loader to scoop them up, load them into a dump truck, cart them off to where ever you are going to leave them and then pop the gate and lift, dumping them out. If it works for heavy fill stone, it`ll work for them.

Well since I am a CDL driver in construction, I say use heavy earthmoving equipment and dump trucks to ‘git`er done!’

I’m thinking the commuters/drivers could’ve shoved the concrete barrels to the side of the road. Would’ve taken several commuters to do it, but I doubt the protest weinies could’ve pushed the barrels back in place on the road.
When are commuters going to personally respond to these idgits? Screw calling 911...handle it yourselves...

The fire department should have saved time and just pushed them into the Charles, they could have become reefs. :) Posts like yours make me wish FR had a "like" button!

The judge should have made them carry their diapers and charge them if one drop escaped in his courtroom.

If this had happened in flyover country, that is likely what would have occurred. Little tolerance for this kind of crap out here...

The judge was a Dukakis appointee. You can guess the rest.
He let them go with the admonition to not do it again. That was it. No jail time. No bail. Nothing.

I guess the Dukaka appointed judge missed that day in law school when they discussed deterrence.
