I never have gotten the flu vaccine, but have gotten the flu several times ... :-) ...

This year I got it pretty bad and I’m still recovering, about two weeks later.

I was about 40, so 12-13 years ago.

As I said, the vaccine itself didn’t give me the flu. My doctor friends say that it is medically impossible. Instead, it temporarily lowered my resistance and I caught the flu regardless of the vaccine. Within a week, both times.

A young woman in Nashville died the other day from the flu even though she had a flu shot this year.

It takes at least 2 weeks or longer for the vaccine to protect you (as said by the doc) so you might have already been exposed.

Take plenty of vitamin D3 and get lots of sleep.

I include N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine. Had the shot and still got the flu. As soon as the fever started increasing beyond 102 I dosed with Motrin and NAC. I improved almost immediately.

Same here, the one time I got a flu shot I got very sick a week later. No more shots for me.

The only flu shot I ever had was in mid 1966 when Uncle told me to I had to have it. It was 100% effective, I got the flu almost immediately. By the next year I'd learned I could tell Uncle, "No, I'd my body."

Haven't had the flu since.

Dig a large hole in the ground. Make a nice bed in it. Sleep through the winter. That's the best way to avoid the flu.

it totally is. i remember that the year (2007/8?) they didn’t offer a vaccine less people died of the flu that year than the years they did.

I agree. The pharmaceuticals are making out like bandits. Everyone in a "home" gets them...and they all get the flu.

Regular old folks in their own home don't go out....and they don 't get the flu. I had it 50 years ago....and not since.

I watched them giving the “double dose of swine flu” shots in the military, and they all immediately got deathly sick. I just signed my shot record and left after that .... never took a flu shot, always signed my shot record, and never got the flu.
