To: Straight Vermonter

I doubt those numbers. There are areas in MI that everyone has guns, it is rare for someone not to have any.

Of those over 18, I doubt more than 25-30% are gunless.

Agreed. I know there are several thousand registered handguns here in Jackson county which isn’t a huge percentage out of 120,000 or so people but 90% of the people I know have several unregistered shotguns and rifles. Even one of my liberal cousins in Kalamazoo is an avid shooter and has a couple of rifles.

Every single white male (and a few black ones) I know in Macomb County, Michigan is armed or at least owns a gun.

This map is questionable.

Me too. The only places in KS and MO that have this higher percentage are the big cities. If it's done by percentage, seems everywhere I've lived in KS and MO are smaller towns and every household has a gun. I wonder if they mean more protection type guns. Seemed every household in my small Missouri town had a shotgun and rifle, not so much handguns.
