Fox News Apologizes for False Claims of Muslim-Only Areas in England and France (huh?)

Fox News issued an unusual on-air apology on Saturday night for having allowed its anchors and guests to repeat the false claim that there are Muslim-only “no-go zones” in European countries like England and France that are not under the control of the state and are ruled according to Shariah law.

The statement was referred to as “a correction” by the Fox Report host Julie Banderas, who said that “over the course of this last week, we have made some regrettable errors on air regarding the Muslim population in Europe, particularly with regard to England and France.”

“Now this applies especially to discussions of so-called no-go zones, areas where non-Muslims allegedly are not allowed in and police supposedly won’t go,” Ms. Banderas continued. “To be clear, there is no formal designation of these zones in either country and no credible information to support the assertion that there are specific areas in these countries that exclude individuals based solely on their religion.”

The claim that such areas existed attracted widespread attention, and a wave of online derision, last weekend when Steve Emerson, a self-described expert on Islamist terrorism, told the Fox News host Jeanine Pirro that parts of France and the entire English city of Birmingham “are totally Muslim where non-Muslims just simply don’t go in.”

Well .. I heard their apology first-hand, and that’s not what they said.

They said they got a couple of the areas wrong, as far as the map they showed. They had areas on this map outlined in red. I guess something was wrong with the outline of a couple of the areas.

They said nothing about the no-go zones not existing.

This must be just another HIT-job by the NYT.

So what else is new.

But, my question is: Unless you get that type of info from the French, why would you guess about something like that ..??

The leftist fake journalists have been harping on this for days, one at a time of course, in order keep it alive, as if it’s a real story.

His death has become a footnote in the long list of mismanagement and crimes that will associated with the President of Argentina and her administration.

There AREN'T any official No GO zones in Europe or in the US where Sharia Law trumps the host countries. The term NO GO is used because a lot of these places are crime ridden and are not safe for anybody...Muslims included

That doesn't mean that there aren't any enclaves that promote radical Islam and that create the environment for terrorists to flourish. That also doesn't mean that there shouldn't be strict surveillance (i.e. spying) of these areas.

Fox News only mistake was not including Sweden, Netherlands and Belgium as homes of ‘no-go’ areas. This list is not complete.

CNN must be exempt, as they not only reported on the zones using some of the same people who appeared on Fox, but also showed the official French mapped zones in Paris - those designated as under total muslim control (no city police or gendarmes allowed) and those only partially.

Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch has partnered with Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal to launch a new 24-hour news network for the Arab world, a move that has drawn mockery from Murdoch's critics and questions from media experts. First and foremost among those questions is whether a news service linked to the famously pro-Israeli Fox News will resonate among Arab viewers.

and

The No. 2 owner of Fox News is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal who said 'a strong American government is not good for us'

And Harlem doesn't exclude white men solely on their race either, but you know what, just between you and me, I wouldn't go walking around in there.

So lets see a film crew wander around those areas in the evening then. One can wear Christian symbols; the next person Jewish. I’m sure they would be be just fine.

In Birmingham, the main focus of the fuss, they certainly would be. Add a Sikh turban and a Hindu forehead mark, ditto.
