Mitch McConnell says these things, because this is what Mitch McConnell wants.

Much the same as The American people want Republicans and Democrats to work together.

It’s nothing more than government lies and projection of what it wants onto us.

And that right there is why Conservatives lose. We think that everyone wants smaller Government. In fact most of America now wants bigger government, food stamps, a medical card, free housing, smart phones, internet and a big fat gub'ment check to pay for a big screen TV and a new car.
