Oh, there is a reason. It is to put the power of the state behind gays who want to push anyone who dares say that what they do is immoral.

any action not specifically put forth in the Constitution is relegated to the states

This crappy SCOTUS will declare homo marriage a right. However, the states need to simply ignore the ruling. Even if sued and lose. Ignore it again!! To hell with the feds.

The only chance we have now is a constitutional convention

That would be such an awesome response if it were to happen.

An uprising such as that could not be ignored.

This guy can talk about conservative version of reality all he wants but it doesn’t matter. Liberals have redefined the reality. Marriage now has nothing to do with making babies. They have stolen “marriage” and turned it into a legal partnership with all the financial benefits of “marriage”. It is truly sad but conservatives were suddenly trounced on this one and its over. It doesn’t matter what this guy thinks.

The question now is what do WE do about it. It won’t be changed. The masses have been conditioned. All I see we can do is rebel and refuse to accept it in our small parts of the world and discriminate against gays. Of course this would need to be done carefully to avoid legal charges. Other than rebellion there is nothing left.

This gay marriage thing is about money, greed and profits. That is what everything on this planet is about. That is what politicians are about. That is what forfeiture laws are about. That is what life is about.

Anyone who thinks this is about Love, respect and acceptance is delusional. It’s the “ Almighty Dollar. KA-CHING. They want to receive government money (our money) for survivor benefits, social security, insurance coverage for all from all businesses, rights to property of their deceased lovers etc. The list goes on.

They will never be happy, no matter how many rights they
receive. They will want more and will make more demands.

They are like two other groups of people who I won’t mention out of fear of being beheaded or becoming a victim of the knock-out game. These three groups of people are perpetual grievance mongers and will never quit whining until they squeeze every last drop out of hard working peoples wallets and purses.

Remember moms old saying “ If you give them an inch, they’ll take a mile.

It is so difficult for me to watch these DemonRats pass out freebies, leave our border open, wear us out with this gay marriage garbage, minimum wage increases for entry level jobs meant for teenagers etc. while we have real security problems and the threat of nuclear attacks that we should be focused on. These people are going to get us killed! It’s maddening.

They all turn a blind eye to real terrorism while trying to sweep it under the rug and distract the masses with rights for trannies to serve in the military. Unbelievable! I’m sick of it.

” to fit the needs of a few”. To fit the DEMANDS of a few is more accurate!

A “same sex marriage” ruling will have a number of effects most people don’t appreciate.
For example, a single mother loses the ability to specify “mother and father” when she asks to place the child with a “two parent family”.
A private school may not be able to teach traditional religious views of marriage without being punished as “discriminatory”.
Limiting benefits to married couples would not permit anyone who is a room-mate and fills out a marriage form to get in on it.
You’ll see a wave of estate claims of “I wasn’t her room-mate, I was her wife, we were really married, give me half her money”.

homosexuals... are mentally sick.

Yes they are. Not to long ago homosexuality was a recognized mental disease.

It still is. The disease hasn't changed a bit. The queers are working hard every day to change our perception of the disease:

That was written in 1987. It has been a long road for them. Source.

Bump!

Excellent essay.

Satan is having a whale of a good time with this. Looks like he's getting all the breaks, for now.

Go here, start with 2012 and click on 2013, 2014 and 2015 to see how this perversion has grown exponentially in just a few short years.

I know there were cases where voters in a state voted for a state constitutional ban on queer marriages only to have the ban ruled unconstitutional.

Anyone have a number on how many times this happened?

From my understanding but please correct me if I am wrong.

Isn’t the history where they got 5 shrinks and 3 of them said it was not a mental disorder anymore and since then those 3 have opened the gateway to this sickness being more open?

The best solution is let each state decide for themselves.

That being said, I'm afraid that the "out of touch" Supreme Court is hell bent on ONE SIZE fits all and will rule that gay marriage is a right

If that's the case will not pedophiles be next to claim they too have rights?

The problem with that is that we’ve taken the federalist legs out from under our Constitution so that states are no longer represented in the federal government. Senators are now directly elected by the people of the state, and the government of the state is cut out of the loop.

Couple that with the 14th amendment, and you have a situation that forces states to look alike over time.

Don’t know the exact history. But I can remember my parents talking about a neighborhood man that was committed to a mental institution because he was a queer. That was mid 1950s.

What do you mean, protect the little turf we have left?

Two things that was promised about the Church. 1: We will be persecuted. That in itself is happening now. 2: The gates of Hell will not stand against her. So even if churches ARE persecuted because of this ruling, the Church herself still stands as the Body of Christ, still waiting for the Bridegroom to return.

Okay, I admit that’s a little preachy, but this ruling doesn’t signal some kind of defensive action that churches need to take to ‘protect’ themselves; it’s just another step along the road that’s already been mapped out.

When two people want to live together so they can copulate when it pleases them, whatever the living arrangement is, it is not marriage. What government authorizes them to do, and what benefits it affords them when they seek government permission, has nothing whatsoever to do with God. It may very well be that government roughly copies what God does, but that cannot move what God requires, allows or forbids.

People who are of the same gender cannot “marry”. It is physically precluded. They can engage in sexual activity, but it is not “marriage”.

Now, for the sake of having an orderly and civil society, we may decide that government should act in a neutral manner towards same sex couples. But there already are legal mechanisms for same sex couples to convey to each other many of the same legal mechanisms the State has granted to those who are married. Those include making medical decisions in case of injury or illness, property rights, and even tax-related concessions.

Ask yourself, if same sex couples could always grant each other power of attorney, then why do they need to be “married”? Nothing stops them from co-habiting. In my opinion same sex marriage is more about destroying the godly institution of marriage than it is about allowing same sex couples to marry, which of course they cannot do.

When a state declares two people of the same sex to be “married”, it is no more true in God’s eyes than when the State declares a corporation to be a “person.”

If all that gays wanted to do was to enjoy marriage (assuming they could), I might leave it at that, except I know now why God forbids same sex unions. Because homosexuality is such a deeply existential issue, gays as a group demand the rest of us approve of their separate identity. Notice how easily gays get militant and demand that schools teach that homosexuality is just another “lifestyle”. Notice how many people demanded that the CEO of Mozilla must resign. Notice how many wedding service businesses have been forced to close because they declined to enable same sex marriage events. Notice that when gays have a day to their own, that they have a “pride” march.

Gays do not demand to be left alone. They demand approval, which I cannot and will not give. They must crush me for that. God knows best. Homosexuality takes humanity away from Him in more ways than one. Jesus said that no person who practices sexual immorality can qualify to receive His free gift of eternal life. (Rev 22:15).

Whether or not an activity is sin or no is up to God, and not man’s government. But people have secular laws that largely parallel God’s laws. Conversely, government has a kind of morality all its own. That is, when government makes something illegal, then too many people take their moral signals from that secular law. When government makes same-sex relations and “marriage” legal, too many people think that it makes homosexuality a moral activity. For that reason alone, we must get government out of the business of marrying anyone. Let government’s role be strictly limited to recognizing who declares they are married.
