Tonight, Alex and I watched Mr. Obama’s SOTU speech. It was great. Give everyone free day care. Who pays for it? Where do they find enough qualified day-care workers? Where do they train them?
Everyone gets free education. Wait. Isn’t public education up through high school already free? And the ones who need it most, the blacks and Hispanics, drop out at terrifying rates. Who will make them stay in school and do their homework? Who pays for this? And where do the teachers come from?
He promises free goodies to the non-rich, and that’s fine, but who will pay for it? Or does he just add to the deficit? I guess he does. I keep thinking, “Panem et circenses” — and free day care. Endless gifts from Uncle Sam's endless bounty! That’s his program for all of his voters.

And what’s with Obama and the Gay Marriage thing? He says the fight is all over. If that’s true, why is he bringing it up? If that’s true, why is the Supreme Court hearing a case about it? I love gay people. Almost everyone I know is gay. But why is Mr. Obama so obsessed with them if their fight is won?

I was watching a show about the nazis last night that included a diary entry from a German who didn’t like Hitler.
She wrote....”Hitler Hitler Hitler, its all the socialists ever talk about. He promises them everything they want but I fear they’re being led by the nose.”
Obama doesn’t care that ‘FREE’ = Middle class being TAXED MORE. If Obama knew anything about government, he would cut spending.

Boobmba's 2015 SOTU made NO reference at all to we, the people, and OUR resounding, history-making 2014 midterm victories.

One very good read I had long ago, was the autobiography of Maria von Trapp.

If the House would do its duty and file Articles of Impeachment Obama would have acknowledged them. But, when you act weak and incompetent like the GOPe has, of course you are going to invite disrespect.
A woman is pregnant for 9 months, if gainfully employed and barring complications, and .. I know of no woman that left work except the last, anywhere from a month to the day before.
She goes and has a baby and is generally back to work (if she must ... within a month ... usually about a week or two ... and her job was secure.
Last year' birth rate was about 4 million
Now, let's analyze this data.
4 million babies and child care
I don't know that many mama's (I live in rural Penn. and I left urban warfare in '76 ... so I am out of touch with urban numbers) who MUST work after the first year
Again, I don't know exact figures, but most mama's I know nurse their infants, eliminating the need for child care in the first 6 months to a year
(My first wife nursed for about 18 mo to 2 yrs) .. but then, she was always a stay at home Mom, home schooling and et cetera.
Kids go to official tax payer paid baby sitting at approx 6 yrs (kindergarten) so they are, at that time, out of the child care equation
SO ... what happens between birth and 6 ?
Assume first year at home
1-6 .. 5 yrs
I honestly don't know ANY child that went into pre K or pre school much younger than about 3 or 4 ..
3-6 ... 3 yrs
SO ... 4 million kids less the stay at homes (and almost NO ONE is working (check out the usual jobs for the unwed mama ... some octogenarian has the job so he or she can pay for health insurance) ...
In reality .... maybe 1 million babies really, really need day care
I think that's about 1% of the population
ONLY a million kids determining tax policy for all of the US for ever (unless and until Congress says NO!)

Ben, read between the lines. This is cheap payoff for the looting of America which is occurring by obama and his corporate and banking cronies. I have no issue with each man woman and child guaranteed a sack of rice every quarter and a 350 square foot heated air conditioned space and band aids. What I do have an issue with is Congress all becoming multimillionaires while in office and their cronies getting the spoils of victory. Feathering their own and each others’ nests with lies like global warming and green energy.

I have read numerous accounts of Hitler’s biological conditions. His veganism was a source of arrogance, and embarassment.
Nothing is more telling about Nazi Germany than the whispering of the opposition. One of the best I’ve seen is “The Rise” its a couple hours to watch. It is full of diary entries and letters from all sides.
