Democratic stunner: It isn’t even close in Elizabeth Warren vs. Hillary showdown
Washington Times ^ | January 26, 2015 | David Sherfinski

As she reportedly lays the groundwork for an all-but-declared presidential run in 2016, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton leads Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts by commanding margins in new polls testing Democrats’ preference for their 2016 presidential nominee.

In a head-to-head matchup, Mrs. Clinton leads Mrs. Warren, 62 percent to 22 percent, when respondents were asked who they would vote for if the 2016 Democratic presidential primary were held in their state today, according to a Rasmussen poll. Sixteen percent were undecided and 18 percent said they had not heard of Mrs. Warren.

These preliminary presidential polls on both the Dem and the Rep side are simply ridiculous. Naturally the candidates with the highest name ID score highest at this stage.

At this point leading up to the 2008 election cycle, Hillary was far ahead of Obama and other Democrats in polls at that time.

We will have to see if dems are too intimidated by Hillary to take her on.

Big Deal.

Shillary has been running since the mid 90’s.

Squaw? Not even “exploratory committees” and/or other signs.

Warren knows perfectly well she could never win the Presidency.

On the other hand, she has a state where she can be elected Senator and have a nice public life.

What is an intelligent woman likely to do?

Let's get this poll straight in our heads.....it isn't because Shrillery is so good, it's because Pukahontas is so bad.

Place the name of a strong, popular woman Dim who isn't a freak into the poll mix and see what happens.....if they had one, of course.

The number one supported of HRC is the GOP. Run Dole run. Run McCain run. Run Jen run. More mushy losers to take ok a vicious mean ruthless machine that will beat any establishment GOPer. The only thing that would stop Hillary is Hillary herself.

Yeah, and Hillary led the field in 2008 by a huge margin. And ten years after she dies, she’ll still lead all candidates. This will continue until the book-cookers are themselves dead.

Sure, Hillary brings superior resources and name recognition to the primary battle but, just like General McClellan, she also brings herself. And that will be Warren’s deciding advantage in defeating her.

Warren knows perfectly well she could never win the Presidency.

Neither could a man named Hussein, after 9-11. Never underestimate the ignorance of American voters, or the power of (free)money.

I think Warren would clean Hillary’s clock in a head to head debate.
Hillary is politically tone deaf.

I still predict Fauxahontas as the dem pres. candidate.
Her socialist, everyone on the government teat, will appeal to the masses.

Not buying it. Lieawatha is exactly where the core of the Democrat Base is ideologically. Hillary is now (God help us) too conservative for her party.

This is very interesting. I never would have called this. I thought it would be quite the opposite. I’m sure the Beast is pleased.

Warren is dying to be someone’s VP candidate.

They won’t win, but it will boost her speaking fees.

THAT is what she wants.

Sen. Chief Spreading BS has stated repeatedly she is not running. I do believe her on this. I see however, that Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is making a lot of noises. I therefore believe he will emerge as the Left’s darling and HRC’s chief opponent in the primaries.

Maybe the people who want Warren to run can persuade Sheila Jackson Lee to run. If the Democrats could take Texas the Republican nominee wouldn’t have a chance.
