We're still not privy to the reasons for the mud-wrestling (other than the official version).
Perhaps the mud-wrestling precipitated her action at the end.
She didn't just give the guy the bum's rush when he came out onto the floor.
And she wasn't at all interested in the other two. As a matter of fact, the one guy was right next to her (heck, it looks like he had his hand on her arm) when she went after the original guy, who was farther away.
Personally, I can imagine that she would be angry with the original cop. I would even venture to say quite angry.
However, even when extremely angry, can’t charge a cop with a weapon. Not a good idea at all.
Now I’ma try to see if I can find a video of this with sound.

I did read this at the site though, and if this is accurate, it does shed some light on the content of the video:
“Dingler said 17-year-old Kristiana Coignard entered the lobby of the department at 6:28 p.m. on Jan. 22 and used the after hours phone in the lobby that rings through to the Public Safety Communications Department. Dingler said she refused to tell the communications operator her problem over the phone.
When Officer Glenn Derr arrived, Coignard indicated she had a gun, which resulted in a physical confrontation. Video shows Derr struggling with Coignard and attempting to restrain her.
LPD Public Information Officer Kristie Brian said that at the start of the struggle, the officer was unaware Coignard had a knife and still believed she had a gun. During the struggle, Brian said it became evident she was armed with a large butcher knife that she attempted to pull from her waistband.
Derr was able to put distance between himself and Coignard. At that time, officer Gene Duffie entered the lobby and drew his stun gun. Officer Grace Bagley entered the lobby immediately after Duffie. Coignard charged Derr with the knife and Duffie fired his stun gun.
Police said the use of the stun gun was not effective and video shows Coignard as she attempted to charge one of the officers. Bagley fired her weapon twice and Derr discharged his weapon three times.”
A couple of things I find worthy of note in there. She told the original officer she had a gun...Good God, what was this girl thinking ;(
This must have been a very troubled young lady.
If that is the case, then I can sort of understand the officer’s behavior.
Second thing is the middle officer I think did have a stun gun, and he did fire it at the charge, and it proved ineffective. I think too many people have a misconception of the effectiveness of non-lethal force most especially when used in an attempt to prevent criminal use of lethal force.
It’s a HUGE risk to do this. Nonetheless, I see that they tried to do it.
But if that excerpt is accurate, I would say that it is clear that she came to the station that night with the intent of dying by forcing a cop to kill her.
I would still, going on this article and video, not hold these men and woman criminally responsible for her death, but I would thoroughly investigate all procedures followed or not followed up until such time as she was shot.
