Sorry, but this is much ado about not very much.
In the Texas case, some Muslims lawyers have established a tribunal where devout Muslims can take their disputes to be settled. The rulings have no standing legally, and either litigant can just ignore them is he so chooses.
IOW, it’s similar to canon law in Catholicism, religious courts in many churches, and rabbinic courts in Judaism.
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/mar/29/brooklyn-da-orthodox-jews-cover-up
For that matter, any two people in a dispute anywhere can agree to have a third person rule on the dispute using whatever rules or “laws” they mutually agree on.
Doesn’t make it “law” in any real sense.

I’m fine with that. Though it should be noted Orthodox rabbinic law has a good bit in common with sharia, especially in divorce cases.
Why do you object if A and B ask C to settle a dispute between them, using whatever “laws” or rules they see fit? How does that injure you?
If and when somebody tries to impose sharia on non-Muslims or make shari rulings legally binding even on Muslims, I’ll get as excited as anybody. Till then, no big deal.
To: Sherman Logan
Listen to Me: if they like that, they cn go where that is done, or go the ____ back where they came from. It’s simple. Don’t give me thius conflict Resolutiion Montesori 101. I’m from a vanished age of real world smack my face reality

"Tim Finnegan lived in Watling street
A gentle Irishman, mighty odd
He'd a beautiful brogue so rich and sweet
To rise in the world, he carried a hod See, he'd sort of a tipplin' way
With love for the liquor poor Tim was born
To help him on with his work each day
He'd a drop of the craythur every morn'"

Great.
Now I want to see my friend, Me Lucky Charm, from the Old Country and have a dram.
Think I’ll go grab one.
