Remember that in the Senate primaries of 2014, despite their eventual victories, Establishment incumbents did worse and worse as time went on:
Cornyn - 60% McConnell - 60% Graham - 55% Cochran - 50% Alexander - 48% Roberts - 47%
Well, it’s about gosh durned time.....
Add Mia Love to the list....has a lot of nice things written on her web site....but voted for the weeper.
an unusual level of intra-party electoral strife this early in the campaign season.
OK. I have read all the responses and I am going to go out on a limb and in the process, irritate a few folks.
Some of you posters need to grow up a bit. You need to have a bit of patience for the new congress folks. Although I was not in favor of selecting Boehner again as Speaker, it is way TOOOOOOOOO early to be denouncing our GOP congress critters based on one vote. In fact it is a bit of idiocy.
Are some of you suffering from St. Vitus Dance? Cannot you settle down a bit before you decide that you are never, Never, NEVER going to vote for s0-and-so again?
There, I have had my say. Let our GOP controlled Congress have some time to pass some bills, and if, in the end, they disappoint you, then it will be OK to criticize them.
Remember, Ronald Reagan, in order to get the most important bills passed, allowed a few he did not like past him too. He figured certain bills were essential and others were desired, and other were favored. He set priorities.
Oh, and one more thing. When RR was Governor of California he signed a pro-choice bill. Yet, you all have forgiven him for this - he later said it was a mistake. Give these newcomers a bot of space and time. PLEASE.
Translation: “We thought we got rid of these TEA Party people! What do have to do, put them in concentration camps!?”
We’re back? Shucks, we never left.
I did it here in WNY, We formatted a press release and blasted it out to all our members and the media. With in hours my congress critter send me a nasty response, so I did the same back to him. He will not rollover us so I will continue to get in his face.
NOW is the time to start campaigning!
Oppose those in conservative districts in primaries.
Oppose those in “purple” districts in the general election with a conservative third-party candidate. Yes, it’s come to that IMO.
We are back?? Nope, we didn’t GO ANYWHERE!! We are here...and we are going to be around in 2016.
