Mexico’s drug war was completely rocked in February 2014 after news broke of the arrest of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán Loera, the notorious long-time head of the Sinaloa cartel and arguably the most wanted man in the Western Hemisphere. But despite the U.S. government’s deep desire to prosecute and incarcerate Guzmán in the United States, Mexico’s attorney general announced the kingpin would not be extradited. Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam told the Associated Press, “I could accept extradition, but at the time that I choose. ‘El Chapo’ must stay here to complete his sentence, and then I will extradite him.” He continued, “So about 300 or 400 years later…it will be a while.”

It is fairly common not to extradite until one does their time.

In 300 years, President George Bush XXIV can prosecute him.

If El Guapo wants to stay in Mexico, El Guapo stays in Mexico.

Perhaps we should send the Three Amigos to get him?

‘El Chapo’ must stay here to complete his sentence, and then I will extradite him.

Works for me.

Sounds like the guy was a pool shark.

Just out of curiosity, that O+ sign on their arm, does that indicate the person’s bloodtype?

It would be much harder for him to continue to manage his empire sitting in a US jail cell..maybe not that much, but harder. I’m sure he is very comfortable in Mexico.

Hey! Jailing El Guapo would dry up a source of bribery, salary, and salable drugs for Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, wouldn’t it? ‘Course he’s not going to let the guy go.

All we have to do is threaten to close the border and they’ll extradite him.
