Joe Biden: A Plan for Central America
New York Times ^ | JAN. 29, 2015 | JOSEPH R. BIDEN Jr.

Posted on 01/31/2015 11:31:18 AM PST by MeshugeMikey

AS we were reminded last summer when thousands of unaccompanied children showed up on our southwestern border, the security and prosperity of Central America are inextricably linked with our own.

The economies of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras remain bogged down as the rest of the Americas surge forward. Inadequate education, institutional corruption, rampant crime and a lack of investment are holding these countries back. Six million young Central Americans are to enter the labor force in the next decade. If opportunity isn’t there for them, the entire Western Hemisphere will feel the consequences.

Nonsense.

We need to defend ourselves from their invasion -- even if the cowards are using children to "clear the minefields".

How is Mexico not included in the description of “El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras”???

Those countries will add 6 million new possible entrants to the workforce?

Mexico will add at least 18 million during that same period and suffers from the same rampant 3rd world problems as Central America.

Fix Mexico and they can become a buffer for Central America and hopefully they will follow suit culturally, politically, reduce crime and lift all boats.

I doubt it though...

BIDEN NEEDS TO REGISTER AS AN AGENT OF C/A FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS. Illegal Third Worlders (advocating the overthrow of the US govt) are organized into "pressure groups"...they cue border borders on the US political landscape.

These Third World federales are salivating for zillions in "humanitarian foreign aid" and anything else they can ge their greedy hands on.

REALITY CHECK---WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS TO HUMANITARIAN US FOREIGN AID Former Guatemala Prez used US banks to launder millions (DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?Portillo was elected to (ahem) "redistribute" the nation's wealth).

Portillo---ex-president of Central America's Guatemala--- faced charges in New York that he used US banks to launder millions looted from his impoverished nation. Alfonso Portillo took office in 2000 pledging to (ahem) redistribute Guatemala’s wealth.

Portillo, 61, allegedly ran scams to drain the impoverished country's coffers. The feds say Portillo embezzled about $2.5M provided by the Taiwanese embassy....$1.5 million was earmarked for “Libraries for Peace”....books for school kids.

Portillo colluded w/ corrupt C/A insiders---he personally endorsed three $500,000 checks issued against an account at the Intl Bank of China in Manhattan, then deposited the cash in the Miami bank account of a Guatemalan bank controlled by a close associate and political supporter.

The embezzled foreign aid money was funneled to bank accounts in Paris in the names of Portillo’s ex-wife and daughter.

<><> Portillo swindled nearly $4M defense funds ...

<><> plundered the national bank run by his alleged co-conspirator...

<><> through overdrafts financed by public reserves the pilfered foreign aid money paid for expensive watches and cars, for Portillo and his associates. (NY POST excerpt 5/28/13)

Best way to end poverty in Central America is to provide free vasectomies and hysterectomies.

It would be expensive but would pay off in the long run.

REMINDER: $266 million of our tax dollars in the current spending bill is going to Central America federales to help them (GAG) assist "child victims of violence."

Current Guatemalan President Otto Perez warns
the US will be inundated w/ even more contagious illegals
if billions of US tax dollars are not handed over.

GUATEMALA CITY (Reuters) - The United States should provide billions of dollars to help Central American nations curb the flow of illegal migrants, Guatemalan President Otto Perez said, and his government warns the problem will get worse if Washington fails to help.

Fleeing violence, trying to reach relatives already in the United States or seeking jobs, record numbers of child migrants from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have been stopped at the southern U.S. border this year, causing widespread alarm. Last month, the three countries pitched Washington an ambitious development plan to confront the issue.

They want to pump about $10 billion into the region to create jobs and lift living standards, with the bulk of funding coming from the United States, Perez told Reuters. He hopes the plan could come up with about $2 billion a year from 2015 to 2019, a sum he equated to roughly 10 percent of annual U.S. spending on border security and immigration enforcement.

"Now we understand it's not simply a question of the United States saying: 'Right, here's $2 billion a year for five years' for example - the governments of the three countries have to play their part too," the conservative Perez, who took power in early 2012, said in an interview late on Monday.

The US aid package would boost infrastructure and provide more jobs in all three countries, especially in areas that send large numbers of migrants to the United States, he added.

The three Central American governments are urging the United States to shoulder the lion's share of the costs, arguing that U.S. demand for illegal narcotics has fueled violence among drug gangs across much of the impoverished region.

"The United States has to support this, it has no other option," Guatemala's foreign minister, Carlos Morales, told Reuters. "If they don't support it, the crisis will kick off again, you can count on it."

Perez said he hoped the United States would put up about 60 percent of funding. "But we'll have to discuss it calmly and see what each individual country can do, and what can be achieved by common consent."

During meetings in New York in September, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told Central American officials he hoped Congress could approve about $300 million in funding, Morales said, noting the sum was "nothing" given the scale of the problem.

Central American leaders are due to meet Vice President Joe Biden on Nov. 12 in Washington to sound out U.S. support for their plan, Morales added.--SNIP--

Send them the ‘Dreamers’. A generation of young adult citizens educated in the US (yeah, on our dime) should be great for lifting their economies.

Here’s a questionaire your US Senator should be asking you but never will. Copy it Fill it out and send it to yours. Make sure it has your name and return address on it as well as you signature and date

Dear Senator

We don’t allow cattle to enter our country without a background health and ancestry check which we also reqiure of legal immigrants who wait years and still go thru health and record checks. We also require that any legal immingrant demonstrate prior to entry that they offer a contribution to our society and not dependency upon it .

Yet we’re letting children and gang bangers in without doing any of this which has resulted in dispersing virulent new diseases (measles) and drug use which has resulted in unreported cases in schools where these illegal kids were placed.. Plus shoved a severe financial strain on local governments where they are placed .
Should those given this bypassed favored treatment who miss their INS hearing be deported fortwith ? (Y) (N).. ? Denied re-entry (Y)(N) ? Should Loretta Lynch become Top Cop? (Y)(N)(hell no)

In “countries where an American citizen decides to be a “legal” emigree never mind being a seasonal visitor still are denied voting privledges. They can’t own land in their own name.Face steep fines before getting kicked out let alone receive income and energy subsistance including food stamps, or bring in family members .

I (do) (don’t) believe we should allow such full citizenship privledges mentioned above which are denied by their country of national origin to a legal American immigrant . Should we deny such full citizen privledges to any individual mark which best applies to a (emigree) (seasonal vistor) (illegal) if their country does not allow those same privledges to any citizen of the United States ? (Yes) (NO).
While such a position will be condemed as defacto deportation particularly by the political establishment would you refuse to support your Senator if he/she refuses to support such restrictions ? (Y) (N) Does that also include erecting border barriers such as fencing designed to discourage surrepticious or uncontolled entry ? (Yes) (No)

Should any American citizen which goes overseas to join a foreign entity fighting against the United States (such as ISIS) Be denied re-entry (Y)(N) and their citizenship revoked? (Y) (N) Should that person be charged with treason (Y)(N)

Very Truly Yours For Conservative Government
