The Patriots had a simple task: Deliver footballs for use that met NFL specs. They didn’t do it. Can we give them the same percentage latitude for the dimensions of their home field and the distance between the goal posts?

Not that that is yet demonstrated, but there is a specific penalty for failing to do that...the ref uses the pump required by the same rule to adjust the inflation...or give the football back and not let it be used if it can’t be made to meet the.guidelines.
