Well, the people who benefit from “workplace violence” are those folks whose insurance policies have waivers for “terrorist acts”.
My condo policy, for example, does not cover deliberate or accidental nuclear weapons discharges, terrorist acts, or a variety of things falling from the sky (I can’t find out if asteroids are covered). So if terrorists blew up my house and POTUS and everybody else declared it to be terrorism, my insurance company does not need to cover it. If it’s the actions of a local criminal gang, they cover it.

Otherwise I agree with and like much of this post!
