If it was Jan instead of Feb it seems a little odd that the video comes out today just as the King of Jordan is in WashingtonDC. Idk... just thinking.

P.S. Genoa, I love your tagline. Years ago I reserved the domain “starvingthebeast” :-)

“but....they invented the zero....(or so it is claimed)”

Th zero was developed in India, before muslims invaded.

As with much of the innovation credited to Islam, it came into European thinking through Arabic translations and commentary, but had been developed by people that were conquered by muslims, or by minority communities within islamic territory, like Jews and Christians.

Kind of like the Mongols in that respect - their wide conquest opened up a lot of communication and technology transfer.

It is amazing. A number of girls have left Australia for that reason, and gone to northern Syria.

Several have died there, already, and usually killed by their fellow rebels forces, in some internicine dispute. I don’t care - although they are my fellow citizens, and usually I would care. They must have something in them - that germ of depravity.

After the last ISIS beheading, I went back, and looked at the translation of Islam, as the Religion of Peace. Turns out there was a mistake! It was meant to be the Religion of PIECES!!

I think it probably was February 3 (that is, today) - they probably have all sorts of things set wrong in terms of time and location in order to confuse people who are trying where they are.

When there was so little response to the beheading of the second Japanese prisoner, I thought at the time that they were going to have to up the ante because we have become so accustomed to Islamic beheadings that they’re reported on page 5 (at best) in the American press. Also, it’s Obama’s technique to downplay anything they do; not to crush them and prevent them from doing it again, but to shrug it off as a sort of “boys will be boys” thing.

Of course, they want to terrify, and they’re upping the ante now since Obama and the West have done virtually nothing to them in response. They are showing that they can get away with anything they want and we’re powerless to stop them.

I think perhaps the King of Jordan realizes that he could be next, so to speak. His kingdom could be overrun by them very easily because the terrorists have the momentum and support, whereas anybody decent in the ME is just on their own. So perhaps he really will respond forcefully, even though I’m sure Obama is begging him not to do so.

“Expect a very big Jordanian response”

The King of Jordan made a televised address to the nation today, and flew to the US for an unscheduled meeting with the President. He is in with the Senate Foreign Affairs committee now (Monday afternoon).

Apparently, the women that the terrorists were demanding in exchange for the Jordanian pilot, and a few others, are to be executed in the next few hours.

It was atrocious how they murdered that pilot. It is clear to me that some of these IS folks are becoming blood-crazed. Psycho killing sadists. Twisted by their experience and becoming addicted to thrill from killing, needed a higher dose as time goes on.

The offense to the influential family and tribe of the pilot must be revenged, and it looks like the King is all on board with that. I believe that Bedouin public opinion in the Kingdom will also be shocked and offended by how they executed this uniformed combatant. He was a model young man, worthy of respect.

The King knows well that he is high on the target list of IS and the Muslim Brotherhood, if not next. This watershed event is an opportunity to mobilize the public in Jordan against the magnitude of the threat.

IS is accumulating a swarm of pissed off enemies. The French deployed their aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle, after the Charlie Hebdo massacre. The Japanese are planning retribution. Now it looks like a mobilization of some significance is occurring in Jordan.

I am predicting a 2015 “Summer of Death” for IS.

I found the video at a website called Shoebat.com. It’s truly horrible and gruesome!

Good and I hope their payback is an eye for an eye. Burn them, behead them, throw them off a 20 story building.

There is supposedly a female America being held (assuming she is still alive). At least with Bush, I knew he called at least somewhat (excluding his terrorist buddies and the wide open borders), about protecting the US.

i don’t know. Jordan can waffle, once the “story” has waivered. I got a couple of wooden ammo cases in my basement from way back in Desert Storm which have “Property RJA” printed on them

I hope so. ISIS blood should run in the streets of Jordan.

Unless somebody opposes them in terms they understand, they WILL take over the ME.

The Jordanians were none too gentle when they threw out the PLO. This ought to be good for about 10x the response...

They (ISIS) cannot be made to “understand”, they are a death cult, including their own. They can only be annihilated.

Thanks for your wartime service.

This pilot was from a prominent family (his uncle is a Major General) from one of the dozen main tribes in the Kingdom (Bararsheh tribe). His tribe, long loyal to the King, will be calling for blood. The other tribes will be looking to see how they are backed up when one is violently wronged - this is the foundation for tribes to hang together in the first place. Its a bit like a gang for mutual defense and deterrence.

Quietly executing the pilot would have engendered relatively much less response. The atrocious and provocative way that ISIS did this demands retribution to maintain credibility. Beyond that, it will genuinely enrage red-blooded Arabs, beyond simple rational calculations. Unlike here, where politicians can jaw-jack and blow smoke to obscure the situation until attention is distracted, there when passions are inflamed, leaders tend to take action. They are an emotional culture.

Interesting how Jordan’s response is to schedule immediate execution of terrorist prisoners. And no doubt scheduling more air strikes.

Compare to Obama’s response when US hostages are executed - nothing but hot air.

The Middle East en total seems synonymous with having hand out and palm up to America. Our politicians force us as a declining middle class with fewer jobs to tithe to them, while these same pols allow our own country to whither away serving an early retirement to illegal immigrants, and bailouts to crooked banksters.

Cynical has become my middle name. So if you don’t like those cynical of media and government propaganda don’t bother reading it. I don’t wear a tin foil hat but neither do I put my head in sand.

Who are these ISIS people? Who funds them? Who arms them? Where did they come from, other than apparently out of the clear blue sky? Who is stirring the pot? Who benefits? Why aren’t Americans given the redacted pages of the Congressional 9-11 report that some say implicates the Saudis. It is our government, and it needs to be transparent, and if it isn’t then trust is lost.

Foolish Obama said we need to take out Assad a couple years ago, and then every tribe in the neighborhood came to the picnic looking for a cut of the power. Why do we need to take out Assad? Every leader we’ve taken out has turned into a costly nightmare for both us and the people who live there. These people need and want a heavy handed leader and stability, contrary to what the remnants of the neocon fools in our State Dept think.

I no longer blindly trust anybody, nor any government, because treachery and deceit has become the rule of the world, and the goal is to manipulate public opinion and justify behavior sometimes with very vile behavior. Two years ago everything was Al Queada this, or Taliban that and then there was the Muslim Brotherhood.

Then out of no where we have this series of atrocious be-headings and videos most of them staring the same “Brit’ with a hood along came stories of this ferocious militia from nowhere. Where are these movies being made?

Most of us see the results and feel the frustration, but no one has the most basic answers. We need to cut off the head of the funding source to begin with.
