The waters have been choppy for NBC News in recent years, with its “Today” franchise having ceded ground to ABC’s “Good Morning America” and its Sunday-morning mainstay “Meet the Press” struggling to find a new identity after the death of longtime host Tim Russert. Amidst that chaos, Brian Williams was supposed to be the anchor – in both senses of the word.
Now Williams, whose “NBC Nightly News” is the most watched evening newscast in the United States, has added to the challenges facing the NBCUniversal news division.

What makes Williams’ admission worse, according to one person familiar with the situation, is that he had been counseled in the past by senior NBC News executives to stop telling the story in public. The advice, this person said, was not heeded.

Can NBC News truly do anything? ... Williams is more or less the face of NBC’s signature news division. To reprimand him is to cast aspersion on the entire operation.

A bump for that one. Bodies in the water at Katrina was, IIRC, used to bash Bush back in the day. Hard to believe a responsible network anchor and media celebrity would “misremember” an important story like that...well, no, I guess it really isn’t all that hard, after all.

Yes, she did. And the one who first smoked her out about regarding this alleged incident, as it turned out, was “Sinbad’’, the comic who was with her group. He said there was no ground fire or anyone having to run. And the bitch tried to fob it off on him by saying, ‘”Well, you know, Sinbad’’ is a comic’’. Not to mention pissing off the entire military command in the area. But what do liberals care about the military?. They hate it. Her other lie was in saying her daughter Chelsea was two blocks from Ground Zero on 9/11. Chelsea said she was no where near Ground Zero that day. When your own daughter goes before the national media and calls you on a lie, that’s pretty bad. Liberals have this need to put themselves at historic places/events/points in time so as to pump up their own image. It’s intellectually dishonest and morally reprehensible. But then liberals have no morals.
Wow, I didn’t know about the 9/11 thing. I’ve never thought much of Chelsea, maybe she deserves a break. She can’t help that her parents were eggheads. I’ll give her credit that she told the truth instead of propagating Hillary’s crap story.
I’m waiting for the day when she finds out she’s really Webb Hubbel’s kid.
