Fabulous!
“Alabama’s chief justice, who famously refused to remove a Ten Commandments monument from a state judicial building, has urged probate judges to refuse marriage licenses to gay couples...”
This is the first time I have heard of a judge’s “Urge.”
I have heard of a judge’s order or ruling, but not an urge.
Meanwhile, Boehner says that the gutless House GOP isn’t going to fight the marriage case before the Supreme Court.
From the article:
—> House Speaker John Boehner said the House GOP will not contest a forthcoming Supreme Court decision on the legality of gay marriage, signaling a possible retreat in Republican opposition.
I don’t expect that we’re going to weigh in on this, the Ohio Republican said when asked about the forthcoming high court ruling. The court will make its decision, and that’s why they’re there, to be the highest court in the land. <—

Why did we vote these guys into office again?
GOD BLESS ROY MOORE!
The states need to be a door stop for Federal courts on EVERY SINGLE MATTER where they don’t agree. Resist, ignore, drag out, re-interpret — fight them until and even after they threaten, fine and injunct until their faces turn red.
Alabama has spunk and they gave us Sessions, too. Thanks, Alabama!
This guy is great. I hope Pres. Cruz will appoint him to the U.S. Supreme Court.
About time!
Judge Moore understands that this is a state issue.
Justice Moore is a real hero.
Political cartoon published in the Birmingham News, 2/05/2015 by the vile-leftist cartoonist, J.D. Crowe, for the Alabama Media Group and al.com. He works from the Mobile hub and lives in Fairhope, Alabama with his wife, daughter and several critters. AL state Rep. Patricia Todd (D-Birmingham) is the 1st openly homosexual member in the Alabama state house. She threatened this week to "out" heterosexual members (Republicans) of the state house who were in adulterous affairs.
"This is a pathetic, last-ditch attempt at judicial fiat by an Alabama Supreme Court justice_a man who should respect the rule of law rather than advance his personal beliefs," said Sarah Warbelow, legal director of the Human Rights Campaign.
Very convenient. However, virtually all such decisions supporting this monstrosity have also been by "judicial fiat". IIRC, homosexual's have never won on this issue at the ballot box.
Moore was reelected to his post after his famous "Ten Commandments" endeavors.
Seems to me "We The People" have something to say about this too.
GOD BLESS ROY MOORE.
