Clint Eastwood’s biopic American Sniper about Chris Kyle, the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history has not only been a smash success at the box office, but has become something of a cultural phenomenon across the country, sparking all kinds of debates and conversations on social media.

The movie seems to have cemented Chris Kyle’s place in the hearts of conservatives, making him a hero to many who love our country, our freedom, and the men and women in uniform who sacrifice so much to defend both.

Just several weeks before he died, Kyle gave a video interview which includes a rather timely warning about Obama and his hatred for the Second Amendment.

“I don’t know exactly what he’s doing,” Kyle said then, referring to Obama’s efforts to enact gun control according to guns.com, “but I know he’s definitely against the Second Amendment, and he’s trying to ban everything.”

“Good luck,” he said. “Because I’ve talked to a bunch of the cops and the Secret Service guys. They’re not going to dare go to anyone’s house [to confiscate weapons], especially if they know they have guns. They don’t want to be knocking on doors.”

“You start putting these bans in effect — you know, these people who don’t know anything about the guns — and they start thinking, ‘Well, who needs 30-round magazines?’” he said. “Really? That’s just opening the door so you can start taking more of our rights.”

“It was there, it was started by our Founding Fathers, and they had the same weapons the military did,” he argued. “We don’t even have that today. But don’t try to take what I’ve already got.

I agree. Chris Kyle would be two years younger and six years older than my two youngest. (of six) Thank you for the picture, I will save it for later use. I may be a native of New Jersey and live in Florida but I’m beginning to believe that my heart belongs in Texas.

I was a “cold warrior.” flew for USAF in SAC but, let’s face it we were all in support of the troops on the ground. Unless we seriously commit men on the ground with a winning mindset, we are just wasting our “blood an treasure” in this effort.
I carried nuclear bombs, hoping that I would be not ordered to use them but now I am thinking that this may be the time.

From comments at the end of the article and I agree, this whole thing stinks to high heaven.....

There could have even been more than one shooter. There are no witnesses to say otherwise. I find it hard to believe that a non-combat vet could kill not 1 but 2 combat vets without one of them at least getting a chance to fight back. Routh fits the profile of a government patsy perfectly - young, drug addict, suffering mental issues.
