More catastrophic depression scares. Us little folk are already in declined financial situations, and it’s getting worse. We’ll be better off if global banking and acquisition of all power and wealth by the elite ends.
The northern Europeans must make a stand sooner or later. If they do not stand, then Greece will be back tomorrow with more demands. Standing behind them will be Spain, Italy, and Portugal waiting their turns.
Tell the Greeks a deal is a deal. Take it or leave. If Greek departure will be such a disaster for Greece, then it will be a disaster for all Italy, Spain, and Portugal to see as well.
The European Union and the Euro will be stronger for making the stand.
Another way of saying this is if the European Union is so weak it cannot stand without Greece then it deserves to die.
This latest Greek problem started when a government employee saw a satellite photo of Athens. He noticed all the home swimming pools. People were supposed to buy a permit to build a home swimming pool. Nobody had bought one.
The lesson is that the Greeks like the good life as long as somebody else pays the taxes for it.
“Let them eat swimming pools.”
I keep reading about this collapse of the euro if Greece exits the EU but no article says exactly how and why. It seems an unsubstantiated idea propagated by reporters too lazy to verify or understand.
Sounds like fear mongering. I'm not buying it. Quantitative easing exists to shuttle capital to the big international players while starving the little guy and diluting his assets.
Should the Greek situation not be settled, the Anglosphere-led world faces massive political, economic and financial consequences. The EU is possibly its first great experiment in global governance. It believes it must not fail.
Motive for said fear mongering.
greece has a population about the size of new jersey.
their gdp is most likely less than new jersey.
the amount in question is something like 300 or 400 billion.
dont know what the eurozone gdp is, but if comparable to the u.s. gdp, this cant be an existential threat.
seems like there is a snake in the woodpile.
