I'm anti-guns, and I don't apologise for that.
If there's one thing that has caused pain and suffering the world over, it is a gun. A trigger is pulled and just like that, the target, intended or otherwise is wounded or killed.
Now if it's war or any other serious conflict that requires the engagement of a country's armed forces to protect territorial and other interests, that's different. What is disturbing and in my opinion unnecessary is when civilians stock up on guns and ammunition. I have never owned a gun and I don't wish to do so. I just wish gun owners who're not law enforcers felt the same way.

If you look at direct casualties in all wars, Communism killed more people.
If you look at direct and collateral casualties in all wars, war is slightly ahead of communism in killing people.
That’s saying something, since Communism did all that in under 100 years.
Some would think this is ironic. But it actually fits the liberal left / communist ideology. Humans are bad. Government is good. Control everything. Compassion for people is a facade.

Firearms are like insurance, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment. I hope to never, ever have to use it, but it is foolishness to not have it in the first place.

Fact. Vehicles and public roads kill expodentialy more people per year than guns. Oh my how can I sleep at night?

Dear Sophie,
I am nearly sixty years old and have owned at least one firearm since the age of six. I currently own several firearms and I have been carrying a concealed handgun almost every day since the previous century. I have never killed or wounded another person with my firearms and I have never shot myself by accident or otherwise. What am I doing wrong?
