How undocumented immigrants who can't vote can change the 2016 elections
The Guardian UK ^ | February 10, 2015 | by Gustavo Arellano

The question of the so-called DREAMers – the millions of people who were brought into the United States as children and grew up undocumented even as they became as thoroughly Americanized as the nachos at a baseball game – will present politicians in the 2016 presidential elections with a starkly simple proposal: you’re either with them, or against them.

Stand unequivocally with them – that is, agree that the only way to deal with their limbo is to grant them a legal status that will lead to citizenship and offer a similar path for family members and friends who don’t qualify.

Stand against history, logic and the American dream, as many Republicans and even Democrats do, and politicians had better prepare for protests – the more inconvenient and prominent, the better.

With Republicans firmly in control of Washington now, and Obama not willing to destroy his party’s chances in the 2016 elections, it’s possible that any immigration reform will be stalled for years to come. By then, the original DREAMers will be well into their 30s, and those who benefit from DACA could be aging out even if the program survives into the next administration. People who have spent their entire childhoods and much of their adult lives living as Americans will not – and should not have to – quietly board planes and trains to countries only the US immigration system refers to as their “homes”.

So, politicians: do you stand with the DREAMers, or do you stand against them? Because if it’s the latter, be prepared for the headaches and rally-crashers you deserve. People who are trying to stay in the homes they’ve grown up in and love have nothing to lose and their future to gain.

Read an article today that Obama brought them in to destroy the Conservative voters in the country. Flood them and over-run Conservatives at voting polls.

During the Bush years, liberals told us you cant put things in black and white terms. They criticized Bush for saying countries in the world hsd to make a choice either be with us or you were with the terrorists. Liberals said such a choice was not legitimate.

But here we see a liberal article indicating that we have to make just such an illegitimate choice on this issue relating to illegal aliens.

So which is it liberals? What are the criteria by which we judge situations and policies? How is it that in some cases you criticize over simplification of an issue, but on others, you insist the proper criteria for judging indeed involves a simplistic solution????

They are not “Undocumented Immigrants.” They are ILLEGAL ALIENS. Calling them undocumented immigrants is the same as calling shoplifting an “undocumented purchase.”

The difference is, nachos were invented in California (by a Mexican), under Mexican rule, ca. 1840s—around the time of the Mexican-American War, IIRC.

Then again, do we even expect libs to get historical facts correct? (No)

How do I avoid being associated with these major @$$-holes?

The only thing I have in common is language, and ethnicity.

If my hand was forced, I have no qualms about blowing them to smithereens...when the time comes...which I believe will be sooner rather than later...

My mom is Spaniard/Basque—raised in Mexico. I lived there for 10 years, but was born in Atlanta and I have a gringo father who can trace his ancestry back to French Huguenots coming to America in 1667.

I have a common language with these sub-retarded human-scum, but will never claim the ethnicity part, even though it’s a lie from the pit of hell that they are “Latin”.

If CWII comes and these parasites force our hands, I wouldn’t hesitate to send them crawling back to the Rio Grande either.
