The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) apparently realized its primary goal, fundraising, was in danger by its placing of Dr. Ben Carson on its “Extremist File” list. But the apology it has issued is the least convincing pretense of remorse that I have ever seen. Our of 1248 words in the document, only 52 -- 4.1667% -- are an actual apology:
In October 2014, we posted an “Extremist File” of Dr. Ben Carson. This week, as we've come under intense criticism for doing so, we've reviewed our profile and have concluded that it did not meet our standards, so we have taken it down and apologize to Dr. Carson for having posted it.

Ben Carson was declared an enemy of SPLC’s Hate.
Yet the SPLC is always being quoted like they are some unbiased source of information.
Anyone who thinks James Dobson's group, "Focus on the Family" is a hate group are the real haters.
The SPLC hates Christ and all things Christian.

Probably a handful of ‘Limousine liberals’ make up the majority of their funds. Left wing lawyers, and some sympathetic liberal corporations make up the rest. I never have understood why they have that name.
That organization is a fraud. All they do now is act as a left wing democrat party attack dog, while ignoring real hate.

Odd how they are “touted” as “good”, and conservative are nearly always portrayed as right wing radical extremists, racists and all around haters that never want to see anybody get ahead. We know a young man (a LEGAL immigrant) who works 2 8 hour jobs at two different casino restaurants(and special events and banquets when offered). Why, because he is trying to achieve a dream he has. Probably be condemned for taking one of the jobs from someone who really needs it.

Success! I had been trying for days to score a ticket to probably what will be one of Dr. Carson’s last public appearances before his anticipated decision to run for President. He will be talking before a completely full high school auditorium down here in Oil Patch City. It appears he has lots of support down here and we’re excited about his coming to our small community.
(Now if they will just get that cancelled Willie Nelson concert rescheduled...)
Not my guy. If you have to “re-message” your thoughts about the 2nd amendment numerous times, then what else will you have to take a second look at? I like him in a lot of respects and his climb to a successful career but unless he’s the only guy on the ticket, not so much. I could be wrong, (as Mrs. rktman often reminds me) but I need to see more.

I think you have to hit “12” before you get one.
Obviously, if the SPLC has time to try to tar conservatives as racists, then real racism has been defeated in this country. At least, that is the conclusion they must want us to draw.
I consider getting on SPLC’s lists to be a badge of honor for a conservative.
