I don’t tweet. The only thing 140 characters allows you to do is make a fool of yourself.
Sure, you could come up with something pithy on VERY rare occasion, but there is a reason such quotes are revered - they are rare.
Dumb tweets are the rule, no matter who you are.
Excuse me, but what do you think FR is?
Twitter is especially pointless
Unless you're one of the Democratic anointed one like 0 or Biden. Then it doesn't matter what you say or do.
The greatest sins used to be murder and rape. Now the greatest sin is to say something that is politically incorrect. This has become Stalinesque which is just what the freedom-hating Left wants.
If my family was like that, I'd be looking for a new family. Good riddance.
I will not subscribe to the NY Times, so could some kind person please tell me how what she wrote could possibly cause this woman’s life to blow up? Germans are well known to be a little smelly.
Doesn't look too guilty. Maybe a case of blondzheimers.
This is incredibly silly.
It’s amazing to me that so many people would pay attention to twitter and take a quote from an ordinary non-celebrity viral.
#NotSharingMyLife
They spilled a lot of ink on this thing and I coundn’t get through it all but it seems that one underlying theme is that since this chick passess the NYT progressive ideology test, she’s not responsible for her own racist comments. It was Twitter’s fault!
White liberals created the grievance/offence industry. They deserve to get eaten by it.
FR is not all that different.
Don’t get me wrong, the written word is great for communications. However, it is not the end-all. When a comment is written, no one (many times on here) can always tell if it’s sarcasm or not, they can’t hear the inflection in your voice or your facial or body gestures. That is why it is so easy to be misinterpreted.
These people that go on to rip on people for making mistakes are just plain malevolent. The one that gets my goat the most is the lady who overheard a poorly made joke and tweeted it and ruined a guys life. I mean, the guy didn’t do it to himself and still got fired and had his life ruined. That’s kind of scary. I’m not sorry what happened to her. She (out of everyone in the article) actually deserved what happened to her.
I hope I can live my entire life without the need to have a twitter account.
I think that sums it up. She and her ilk are vain and stuck in the fake online world of their own making (and unmaking). She would never dream of dating someone who isn't glued to the internet.
Oh look at the Julian Edelman pic this past week. I bet here parents are proud of her.
So what if you tweet something politically incorrect or abrasive? What, are you afraid of alienating your fanbase? Scared of losing your thousands of followers? What are you: Some kind of celebrity?
Regards,
This has become the modern day public lynching by the. self appointed, self righteous, arbiters of moral indignation
