How's that Ebola catastrophe thing coming along, Barry?

The vaccines are today's scam of the month.

Dr. Zuelzer's "Pediatrician and the Species," an American socialist amongst Margaret Sanger's Progressive cult, addressed the Brits on how to weed out the weak, nip them in the bud and murder them in the crib - to save money for society and purify the race, of course, all in the name of love and compassion.

Ignores a truth: without the vaccinations, how many more cases and deaths would there have been? History suggests, the 100 deaths would pale before the count.

I don’t see how this can be discussed without accounting for the people who did not die of measles precisely because they were vaccinated against it.

Bump. Vaccine research data needs to be disclosed by the CDC.

History will record that EV-D68 and measles
and worse were “GIVEN” to the American people
by the undocumented Tyrant and his rear-licking,
self-EXEMPT, 113th Congress.

Don't lump all vaccines together just because one doesn't perform as advertised.
I'm old enough to remember polio and old enough to have a friend that caught it.
And glad that small pox is just a historical note in the textbooks.

How many children actually had measles in the last 10 years?

This is the kind of reasoning/fear-mongering worthy of a liberal.

Until 2000 measles were considered eradicated from the U.S., so there should have been zero deaths a year from measles.

And during times of peace, more soldiers are killed in training accidents than by enemy action.

That’s why anyone who considers themselves a patriot should demand the abolition of the US military. Right?

The vaccine is still preferable to the alternative rill measles is eradicated the same as smallpox. If you want to stop the deaths, work to eliminate the disease rather than dragging heel and prolonging it.

Alex Newman needs to do better research. The headline statement of the article is not accurate: http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/mmrdeaths.asp

There is an accurate report on how the vaccine has been so successful against measles here: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/meas.html I know people are reticent to accept government related information these days, but this report covering the history of the achievement of practically wiping out measles is well done and based on good, solid information.

On the other hand, what seems to be missing in discussing this is the FACT that most measles (and several other) vaccines these days are produced using the aborted baby cell line. You don’t hear that much at all about this disgusting situation. Measles and other vaccines can easily be made in a more ethical manner and have been but the influence of our government (and others) has had them opt for the aborted cell line. Merck is one of the most egregious companies in doing this. If the demand to provide more ethical vaccines was strong enough, they would do so. It’s past time for a LOT more people to speak up about this!

Merck used to make ethical and non-ethical cell lines...but now use only the aborted cell line. Personally, I refuse to use their vaccine for Shingles because of this. They are the only company who makes Shingles vaccine.

Overall, there needs to be a great deal more attention paid to how vaccines are tested and used. There has not been sufficient research done in this area....particularly in recent years. Vaccines have saved many lives, but there have also been some problems associated with some vaccines or with the way they have been administered. It is not liberal v conservative issue at all. It’s simply a matter of common sense and wisdom with regard to the best ways to safeguard human beings.

My grandmother had polio as a child. She spent the rest of her life walking around on a leg with a metal rod in it, which caused her problems (as well as embarrassment, as he leg was withered) for the rest of her life. And she was one of the EXTREMELY lucky ones.

So all this anti-vaxxer crap strikes me as absurd.

145,000 people around the world died of measles in 2013

According to the CDC there were 6 million measles deaths worldwide in the past decade. This was in spite of efforts by the UN to get everyone vaccinated. A goal not yet reached.

In the US, measles was declared eliminated in 2000. Without illegal aliens, we wouldn’t have a problem.

The VAERS system that this article uses to claim 108 people have died from the measles vaccine is a passive system that registers reports of deaths from the vaccine without any follow-up or verification whatsoever. Anyone can log into the system and tell it anything they want, and not one person will lift a finger to verify what's been reported.

To the average anti-vaxer, this is what constitutes evidence.

Meanwhile, vaccine researchers are filling the pipeline with new therapies to treat cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, malaria, TB, HIV, and more.

While everyone has an opinion of whether to vaccinate or not, the bigger question is whether I have the right to choose for myself whether to vaccinate or not.

It is not the government’s responsibility to decide for me. Whichever choice I choose, I will have to suffer the consequences of my decision.

If I choose to vaccinate, then I should be protected against infection. Right? I should be immune and cannot be infected regardless of whether anyone else is vaccinated or not. Right? So vaccination is a good choice for me. Right? It’s such an easy decision why should the government care?

No problems. No worries. What could go wrong?

I see the ObamaCare social media trolls are out and about trying to get people to not want vaccinations so ObamaCare can save money.

Lately it has been no mammograms, no prenatal care, no colonoscopies, no vaccinations, no preventative care at all.

I find it ironic that adults are arguing that young children should receive - what's it up to now? 24? 26, including HPV - 24 to 26 immunization shots for 9 - 10 different diseases, all before 18 months of age. (And then more shots at ages 6-7 and 11-12 and thereafter.)

Then those same adults argue that children who aren't receiving all of those immunization shots should stay away from everyone else.

Question: Are those same adults (not including those who work outside the medical field) submitting themselves to 26 immunization shots for 10 diseases within 18 months? Or do they just want to force children because children can be forced?

This bears repeating. Just over 100 people get sick with measles, and none die this year. Yet in this same year, over 50,000 will die as the result of automobile crashes, and many thousands as the result of a long-deadly disease known as the flu, and also from MRSAs, which have adapted and become immune to antibiotics and vaccines, yet people flip out from hearing hundreds sick and zero dead. It’s stupid. If anything, the results of just barely over one hundred show society is thoroughly vaccinated, and it certainly has confirmation that we can give people medicine to ensure that measles won’t kill them, and they can gain natural immunity to it. So will the effing media shut up about measles, and talk to us about why vaccines don’t do as good of a job at stopping death from happening from the flu as they do for measles, along with antivirals.
