LANTANA, Fla. —Robert VanWinkle aka Vanilla Ice was arrested Wednesday by the Lantana Police Department on burglary charges.
Police investigated a residential burglary which occurred sometime during December 2014 and February 2015 in the 100 block of N. Atlantic Drive.
According to Lantana Police, during the burglary incident, numerous items of furniture, pool heater, bicycles and other items were removed from the residence which is currently in the process of foreclosure.
Police determined VanWinkle played a role in the burglary and theft.
Police say VanWinkle is currently renovating the residence adjacent to the property in which the items were stolen.
VanWinkle was taken into custody and charged with Burglary Residence and Grand Theft.
I guess he won’t be able to use the “aspiring rapper” excuse any more.

He has a successful tv show and will lose this because of a bicycle and other cheap items?

Not really. The guy has just been a very successful person. I don’t see the reason to trash him.
Last I checked, it’s innocent until proven guilty.
I’m OK with the innocent part; in fact, I agree. That’s why I tried to be mention “charged”.
I just find the whole schtick extremely tiresome (the gangsta thing).
If he’s innocent, then I hope that is how it turns out regarding this issue.

I understand the gangsta part. I wonder if it’s real, or if he’s just “in character” for the cameras. Hopefully he has grown up, and he’s innocent of the charges. I believe he’s married with two children.
Yeah, the character was a bit annoying, but it provided quite a few laughs. So I took it from the water tower.
VanWinkle is indeed married to a second wife.

Wiki, FWIW (for whatever unreliable value there may be), uses the plural “children” regarding his first wife but I don’t know about the second wife.
