Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) on Friday said former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s comments that President Obama does not love America stem from his race.
“Rudy Giuliani questioned how much, or even if, President Obama loves America,” Cohen posted to his Twitter account. “Maybe he thinks he loves it 3/5 as much as Giuliani & his pals.”

The tweet is a reference to the Three-Fifths compromise, when Southern and Northern states agreed to put a clause in the Constitution that said that slaves counted for three-fifths of a person for tax purposes.

(It's similar to people trying to defend Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant--people who rightly criticize Bryant's innumerable off-field troubles (many of which have not been reported by the press--even one Skip Bayless has not said much publicly on much of what he knows about Bryant's off-field troubles, given his connections to people working inside the Cowboys organization) have been labeled as racist despite what we know about Bryant in the public record.)
But Cohen used the word “how” in his tweet. Clear as a bell. Obviously an anti-Native American reference.
Steve Cohen is an IDIOT! He, and most stupid Dems, don’t know or care to know that the 3/5ths “compromise” was to keep the SLAVE states (Democrats) from getting too much power with the census and thus more seats in the House.

No it wasn’t. Now if he’d have said “that damn n***er isnt doing his job”; now that would be racist. What he said was just the truth...but both statements are truthful if you want to get down to brass tacks; the latter just said in violation of current PC standards

Technically, if the statement was indeed racist, it would only be half racist because Obama is half white.
