Hollywood (United States) (AFP) - African-American civil rights groups plan to protest outside Sunday's Oscars show, where every single one of this year's 20 acting nominees is white.
However small, the demonstration will revive debate about diversity at the Oscars-awarding Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, whose voting members are overwhelmingly white and with an average age in their 60s.
"The goal of the protest is to send a message to the Academy, send a message to Hollywood, send a message to the film industry," said Earl Ofari Hutchinson, head of the LA Urban Policy Roundtable group.

I believe the tactic is if you raise enough "hub-bub" that the people with MONEY will pay you and your organization to "go away" and "cool it."

I used to watch the Odd Couple.
It is beyond sad to me that most whites are so kowtowed about race they not only won't defend themselves but won't even defend their families or children. They act as if they deserve some sort of punishment for being white. The most defensive statement you generally hear from them is some type of weak kneed reaction like "I am not a racist" Going on offense? That is out of the questions even though it is being used successfully as a battering-ram to manipulate and destroy us.
If it is dog shit bad then it is not recognized. Well the folks who do this identification, almost all liberals, did not find any "black" movies worth recognizing this year.
Nor did the people with their movie going dollars display a big liking to any black movies this year.
Time to get out the pooper scoopers and get on with the world of make believe.
