I find it interesting that everyone hates paying customs duties, but the politicians love to soak us with them. I didn’t know that was because they themselves evaded them. I’d like the tax return of every officeholder to be available online, so we peons can see how much they actually fork over (and maybe which loopholes they are using to limit their tax bills, loopholes that that rest of us aren’t always aware of, or loopholes that have been written especially for them).
