Ayn Rand got a lot of mileage out of “A is A”.

Then there is absolutely no wisdom in this administration then because they call everything what it isn’t and intentionally at that (in other words, lying)

Confucius according to Will Durant:
1)The world is at war because its constituent states are improperly governed
2)States are improperly governed because the family is in disorder
3)The family is in disorder because men cannot regulate themselves
4)They fail to regulate themselves because they have not rectified their hearts of disorderly desires
5)They have not rectified their hearts because their thinking is insincere, not based upon reality
6)Their thinking is insincere because they let their wishes discolor the facts
To set things in order, start corrections at #6, and the dominoes will fall backward to #1. Old Kung Tzu was a Conservative even before Adam Smith.

Not everybody agrees on what an “orderly desire” is.
It’s high time to quit playing footsie with philosophy. Call personally on the Lord like your eternal life depended upon it.

Call a s_____ a s_____.
I'm not going there. That would be racist.

footsie with philosophy? That's catchy, but what does it mean?
Confucius spent his life attempting to bring order to a society much out of control (the Warring States Period). He didn't address religion, but political science, sociology, and yes, philosophy.
I of course accept your directive to seek the Lord while He may be found, but a study of the wise ones throughout history is a worthwhile pursuit.

Very solid thinking there. That a clean living individual man, ultimately cures the ills of family and society. We all love God, but God works in mysterious ways, and when a guy is right, it dos us no harm to listen.
A far as admonitions not to play footsie with philosophy, that of course, is a philosophy itself.

It’s a fascinating thing to see how the people who are regarded as the world’s better philosophers managed to form more or less of a supportive ring around biblical advice. The worse ones are seen to trash biblical advice.
But this is actually a testimony about the bible, which in turn is actually a testimony about God. What I’m getting at is: why not cut out the middle man.
