Media Too Busy Manufacturing Scott Walker Attack Pieces to Fact Check Them
Front Page ^ | February 28, 2015 | Daniel Greenfield

How desperate is the media for Scott Walker attack pieces? So desperate it’ll pick up material from a third-rate Gawker blog that even most of the left thinks is a joke and run with it.

The Daily Beast has retracted an article from one of its college columnists that claimed that the Wisconsin governor’s budget would cut sexual assault reporting from the state’s universities.

The post, published Friday, cited a report from Jezebel that wrongly interpreted a section of the state budget to mean that all assault reporting requirements were to get cut altogether.

In fact, the University of Wisconsin system requested the deletion of the requirements to get rid of redundancy, as it already provides similar information to the federal government, UW System spokesman Alex Hummel told The Associated Press on Friday.

At least, unlike the New York Times, they got Walker’s name right and they got the date right. Baby media steps.

And a number here who will use these false stories as reason to condemn him, even if they know the stories are bunk because they have already deemed him "unclean".

If I get to vote for Walker or Cruz (or a Walker/Cruz - Cruz/Walker ticket ;-), I'll be ecstatic....

I don’t know who is the most worried about Walker, The MSM, the education industry, the Democrats or the Republican establishment. But we can honestly say, he really is known by his enemies.

Tried to listen to woman/caller at the link you provided. Made it half-way thru before I barfed. I’m getting better - I used to toss my toast less than 20% of the way into videos like that. The caller is the poster-child for all that is wrong in this great land.

The media is used to being the handlers, electing some canidates, destroying many others. They are not used to being handled. It drives them crazy. It’s been awhile. I think Reagan was the last one to do that.

It was bad publicity for a state that wants to attract jobs. No company wants to move to a state with all those union thugs. Unions do things that are very counterproductive to the cause of labor. Scott Walker wants to bring jobs to Wisconsin. He’s had modest success with that, but at least he’s trying to do something that will help all Wisconsinites. Not just teachers. He’s also helped to cut property taxes.

The dem party feels threatened by Walker and is willing to lie cheat and steal to stop him. Dems have no principles other than to win by any means necessary.

Julie wishes it was mandatory that everyone would have to listen to this 'progressive' radio host.

Outrageous.

That control-freak attitude defines leftists - they want to force citizens to behave in the ways THEY prescribe.

It's sick

Other than that the three minutes were funny... just like you said. It was somewhat a takeoff on 'what's wrong with Kansas' . Julie's baffled working people have values too... and that they're standing with Walker. She's an idiot, but a good laugh.

I certainly prefer Walker over our governor, Kasich.

Is some fear sinking into the MSM?

The media of today is the propaganda arm of the Democrat, a/k/a International Socialists Party. Nothing more.

I like Walker when he’s not boasting.

As Rush has correctly pointed out, it's not boasting if you can actually do it. Something Walker has proven.

The university itself asked Walker to delete the sexual reporting as it was duplicative.

Socialists throughout history have always resorted to controlling speech and punishing politics opponents.

Dissent is not tolerated.

Izvestia and Pravda were to the USSR what the MSM is to the current regime.

All forms of evil use that trick... it’s an earmark. Socialists, Communists, totalitarians, Nazis, Crime families, and Progressives... same tricks.
