What's the point in having an agency that is responsible for securing the border and won't. The anti-terrorism responsibilities will continue to be handled by the FBI, NSA & CIA. They just won't report to a DHS bureaucrat.

If the other agencies were doing their jobs, there would be no need for DHS. And from where I sit, it’s staffed by a bunch of bumbling fools. Just another jobs program for the mentally challenged. (Yes, I’m sure there are exceptions, but few that I’ve seen.)
Shut down DHS (no funding). Then have them sell all that ammo and guns that they have, to pay their worker. Just like many family’s had to do these last 9 years because of so few jobs available for work.
