I find that the first instinct of so many on here is to punish, disturbing. How about helping her? If it really is a car problem, maybe someone has a husband who could help her?

Ask her to come in and explain to her that having her son late all the time is disruptive. People don't always get it. Even if they should get it, they don't. I am just so glad that I don't have to deal with most of you. No compassion for anyone, ever.

It's not enough to have to put up with junior's crap, teachers got to go fix mommy's car too. In the winter they're gonna be shoveling the driveway... else junior's gonna be late again.

I am compassionate for my wife and other teachers like her who put in 60 hr weeks trying to educated children while dealing with parents like you who think discipline and behaviour problems should be solved by the schools instead of the responsible parent.

Look at yourself. Your fist reaction is to blame the school and excuse the offending party. That is not compassion, that is stupidity!
