Full Transcript: Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Congress Speech on the Iranian Nuclear Threat, 2015

Because America and Israel, we share a common destiny, the destiny of promised lands that cherish freedom and offer hope. Israel is grateful for the support of American — of America’s people and of America’s presidents, from Harry Truman to Barack Obama.

We appreciate all that President Obama has done for Israel.

Now, some of that is widely known.

Some of that is widely known, like strengthening security cooperation and intelligence sharing, opposing anti-Israel resolutions at the U.N.

Some of what the president has done for Israel is less well- known.

I called him in 2010 when we had the Carmel forest fire, and he immediately agreed to respond to my request for urgent aid.

In 2011, we had our embassy in Cairo under siege, and again, he provided vital assistance at the crucial moment.

Or his support for more missile interceptors during our operation last summer when we took on Hamas terrorists.

In each of those moments, I called the president, and he was there.

And some of what the president has done for Israel might never be known, because it touches on some of the most sensitive and strategic issues that arise between an American president and an Israeli prime minister.

But I know it, and I will always be grateful to President Obama for that support.

As we can see from the speech, and the clip included here (above) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised President Obama, profusely and thanked him warmly and said he would never forget the help Obama has provided.

But, at the same time, Netanyahu hammered the policy towards Iran!

There was absolutely nothing new in this speech. I would also like to know what the original speech contained, maybe even like to know what was offered/threatened to get Bibi to back off.

Netanyahu intended to make the speech earlier, but was made to wait until Kerry was bumbling his way through the Iran negotiations. I am 100% behind Netanyahu, he shows how a country’s leader should be, and the comparison to Obummer is pathetic.

Lib talking point of the day just happens to be: Obama: Nothing new in Netanyahu's Congress speech ‎3‎/‎3‎/‎2015‎ ‎2‎:‎20‎:‎51‎ ‎PM · by Citizen Zed · 2 replies Jerusalem Post ^ | 3-3-2015 | Reuters

Which is pretty funny given that all the flying monkies have been ordered out by the white house to downplay "nothing new"

The other talking point is "Netanyahu doesn't have a plan" which sounds equally ridiculous when spoken by the supposed leader of the free world.

No one is mote behind Bibi than I am, but I heard nothing new or surprising in his speech that I haven't heard many times before.

They are going to get a bomb and blow us up along with the US. But Obama is a great friend of Israel.

This was not a necessary speech, so the question is what was the purpose? Did he change the content either at the request of anyone in the US or did an arm bending session occur before the speech.

Something doesn't make sense to me.

Nope but you apparently can threaten him.

I don't think anyone can (or would) claim that Netanyahu's speech is copyrighted.

Why not post the entire speech?

My immediate response...

We have seen today a historical, classic example of the difference between a bungling, delusional, ignorant, megalomaniac and a Statesman.

I was smiling the entire time.
Somewhere, among others, I saw Sir Winston Churchill also smiling in approval.

Netanyahu said exactly what he meant to say and no one tells him what to do - his entire country and all its citizens will be dead unto dust if Iran gets the bomb.

He said they can defend themselves now AND Israel will stand even if they have to stand alone. That message is they will destroy Iran’s nuclear capability even if they have to do it alone. They will have to do it because this country won’t help them do it. That message was delivered.
