White House scrambles to answer when they learned of Clinton email habits
FOX News ^ | March 6, 2015 | The Associated Press contributed to this report.

What did the White House know and when did they know it?

That timeline got murkier on Friday as the White House struggled to respond to mounting questions over Hillary Clinton's private email use. The heat was turned up after Politico reported that top White House officials knew back in August that Clinton was conducting official business on personal email.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest, when asked about what the White House knew, said senior officials were emailing Clinton while she was secretary of state and a few noticed she wasn't using a .gov email address. However, he did not say when they noticed it and whether red flags were raised.

He also said he had no idea when President Obama first found out and claimed he wouldn't be surprised if Obama only learned about it from "newspapers."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Bloomberg News Friday morning, Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said she never received email from Clinton’s private address, and didn’t know whether anyone at the White House, including the president, had either.

“That I do not know,” she said when pressed by the reporters.

As for herself, “I did not receive email from Secretary Clinton,” she said, adding that “the president has a very firm policy that emails should be kept on government systems, he believes in transparency and I know that the State Department is working with the National Archives to make sure that Secretary Hillary Clinton’s emails are captured.”

According to Politico, the White House, State Department and Clinton’s personal office knew in August that the former secretary of state had used a private email to conduct official business. The State Department became aware while the agency was preparing a batch of 15,000 emails requested by House Republicans in the Benghazi investigation.

I seriously hope she takes down Obama with her. Destroying him would be the greatest service she ever did for this country.

Neither will be 'taken down'....

If the Justice Dept is forced to charge and convict her, Obama will pardon her. And Obama will surely not be impeached by Boehner's congress. Hell, there is enough constitutional catastrophe to hang his hide on the barn door now but the pubbies are running scared. He could probably shoot someone on live TV and still not be charged by Justice or Congress. That's what is drastically wrong with this government of ours.....

To be honest, I’m not sure that a cabinet secretary would actually email the president. Maybe they would.

Where Hillary should go to jail is putting ANY official business on a private server that SHE set up..... for the specific purpose of not using government email systems.

Eric Holder should be under IMMENSE pressure to prosecute her. Letting this slide would set a precedent that would basically gut the Federal Records Act.

Doesn't the NSA have all the records of every email from everyone?

Easy solution for any “inadvertent” mistakes made by any government employee who ever made any error in official record keeping.

Would take about 15 minutes (at most, LOL) to bring up all activity from any related IP address(es).

Might take a week for a select team to filter out any truly private, personal emails, before there is a large document dump.

Might take another week to group everything into cross-referenced date/subject/topic searchable data files.

Lots of very experienced USA IT workers out of work right now...

When Zer0 first got der Hildebeast's email with an address of hdr22@clintonmail.com, you know it is from a private server; not related to the State Department. When you know that, you ask der Hildebeast, what she is doing. It is at that time, Zer0 found out she is homebrewing it. In fact, with some resources from the FBI, he would know it was from a server registered to her family's home in Chappaqua, New York.

The big question is, why did der Hildebeast want total control over her message archive? Surly that also would have required the services of someone considerably more expertise at managing the technical requirements of an email based server. Hiring the technical expertise does not come cheap. This puts the focus on der Hildebeast's motives for such drastic measures. Having this homebrew system afforded der Hildebeast additional opportunities to block government or private subpoenas in criminal, administrative or civil cases. Since the Clinton home had Secret Service protection, there was the added layer of protection from theft or physical hacking.

Speaking of hacking, homebrew systems are vulnerable to hacking and not as reliable. And, what if there was a fire? I suppose, if the heat got too hot for der Hildebeast, there would be a fire. As far as I am concerned, there is no fire better than Hell Fire for der Hildebeast.

No matter who did what, nothing will come of it. So many people are on government handouts that Obama and Hillary could do whatever they please without the great unwashed noticing or caring. Bob Dole once asked, “Where is the outrage?” The same sentiment is even more relevant today.

What computer did she use to send emails?

Who configured it? Was that person a government employee? If so, why didn't this raise flags?

If it wasn't a government employee... That would raise different flags.

Someone ought to point out to Obola that the “Sgt. Schultz” defense is no longer operative.

Ten to one Valjar and Obama set the whole thing up
right from the beginning, furnished the server, everything.
Told Hillary they needed it for security etc.

Now they’ve cast her loose.

George Costanza: Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I’ve worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time.

Yeah, that's pretty much what's going to be the official "explanation".

However anyone who has actually worked in the real world knows you don't use personal email for business, unless you own it.
