But the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Tony Robinson has its own unique set of circumstances.

The deadly confrontation has made Madison, Wisconsin, the latest epicenter of protests. Demonstrators plan to rally there at the Wisconsin State Capitol on Monday morning, and students say they will stage a walkout at the city's East High School after classes.

Seems to me the Chief’s “I’m sorry” is way too early and potentially jeopardizes effective defense in a future court case. If the officer is shown to be in the right, then this “I’m sorry” only leads to recrimination to rile up the rabble.

The last two segments of that article are rich with opportunities for comment but prudence requires I restrain myself and allow others to proceed.

His mother, Andrea Irwin, painted a different picture of the teen: "My son has never been a violent person, never," she told told CNN affiliate WKOW. "To die in such a violent way baffles me."

Did I hear this "gentle giant" committed felony armed robbery?

So lets see if I have some of the initial facts straight. A known violent perp, acting irrationally, attacking and assaulting people, then attempting to murder people, is shot by the police. I think I will give the police the fair balance of judgement for now.

I think the only thing missing is that in addition to the above, he assaulted a cop.

So, a quick read of this is
a bunch of thugs were blocking the street
trying to provoke something, and looking for an excuse.
Some motorist bumps somebody in the street,
giving the excuse to assault him.
Motorists defends self, thug flees and breaks into house.
Officers arrive, thug assaults officer and gets shot.

Moral of the story: don’t assault a police officer

Just a suggestion: Perhaps if he wasn't hitting "friends" and attempting to strangle other patrons, the po-po wouldn't have been alerted to the need to interface with him?

I see common denominators with Martin, Brown, and this one. Hmmm wonder what it is? Black mothers not raising their children to be men, fathers not around, thug culture yet they wonder why the same pattern keeps repeating...

Actually, I think the Chief was being crafty. He used the same technique that a politician might use when asked about a seamy scandal involving his opponent.

“I do not wish to comment about accusations that my opponent is a wife beating, communist pedophile, because I want to run a clean campaign.”

By putting things in this light, the Chief has almost guaranteed that every story published about this shooting will note that the decedent was an armed, violent criminal.

I suppose the icing on the cake will be by the criminal’s mother that he was “a good boy”. This will cement in everyone’s mind that he was a villain that needed shooting.

Ah, but you're forgetting the mind machine the Leftists have at their command. Facts mean nothing: if they want a story to fit The Agenda, the story will be changed.

“The officer did draw his revolver and subsequently shot the subject.”

I don’t know if anybody else caught this.

I would love to know why this idiot was walking the streets when he just plead guilty to an armed robbery in December? Maybe he would still be alive if he was serving time in prison where he belonged.

“My son has never been a violent person, never,”

Wisconsin Circuit Court documents indicate Robinson pleaded guilty in December to an armed robbery that occurred last April.

Momma, your son was a punk-ass thug!

Obviously, Armed Robbery is NOT a violent crime in that mother’s standards.
