Mike Enzi is from Wyoming.
Are you kidding me?

Not like there is a big box store every 50 miles.

It will be a nightmare to implement and would probably require hiring more staff. They probably have a minimum amount of sales required before compliance kicks in, but that would cause unintended consequences too.

Well at least your friend actually does some work. The government who wants to tax her sales (in addition to her income) does nothing they are leeches.

As usual envy, death, and every evil work..........

Never about praising and blessing true beauty and innovation.
Punish innovation with every evil motive......instead of....

......Rewarding the Brick and Mortars with incentives to compete and market their own products out of state online too.

Same evil that has cast death on competition in the election process and body mortgage extortion care.

Blessing vs curse

I’ve filed returns in a few States and I remember breaking down the different county and local taxes on the one form, but you are correct, it could be a nightmare. It would be expensive and difficult to set up on a sales software and out of reach for most small businesses.

I don’t have a lot of pity for brick and mortar store’s whines.

I work for an internet retail company. The company itself has been around for 60 years. They were a brick and mortar...and still locally maintain a brick and mortar.

But they saw what was happening on the internet years ago and developed a website so they could do business online. They have been successfully marketing their products online for the last 15 years.

If a brick and mortar thinks the internet retailers have an advantage, well, build a website and become an online retailer.

When will they ever get out of our lives? Every day it’s one more intrusion.

Meet The New Boss - Same As The Old Boss

All that hard work to get republican majorities elected in congress and the senate is really starting to pay off.

I thought that the Senate wasn’t allowed to initiate tax bills.

I have posted before that this is intended to run the small businesses off of the Web.

If it passes, all businesses will have to collect taxes. Initially, it would be for state taxes. But counties and cities would demand to be added soon thereafter.

IIRC, there are over 6,000 individual districts within the US that have their own sales tax.

The ‘paperwork’ will drive small businesses out of business.

Walmart has on line site already and they charge tax.

That's because they have a physical presence in every state. Most online businesses don't. I hope this bill finds its way to the circular file soon.

TN ought to be ashamed of itself. Corker and Alexander are a disgrace.

Eventually, under Net Neutrality or some other ridiculousness, they will assess charges for each character posted in online forums.

The rationale will be that is cuts down on hyperbole and repetition. ALL CAPS will be assessed a slightly larger amount.

Today, my response might be considered satire. In the near future, it may be reality. We live in a bizarro world anymore.

Gee, I am so glad we now have the Republicans in charge of the Senate - NOT!!!

I sure wish that some group would form a new political party - the Conservative Party of America. We need something other than the Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee parties that we currently have.

And the Republicans are just as bad about it as the Communist Democrats.

Oh yeah. You mean THE UNIPARTY.

I thought so.
