Dont tell the donors: Why isnt this a brutal poll for Jeb Bush? The WSJ says it shows GOP resistance to his candidacy, which it does Jeb finishes in fourth place, below Rubio, Walker and Huckabee, when GOP voters nationwide (not just in Iowa) are asked whom they could see themselves supporting. Bush has said he wants to be Republican voters second choice but the poll suggests thats exactly what hes not. Forty-two percent of Republicans say no, they could not see themselves supporting him. (For Rubio the figure is 26 percent, for Walker 17.)
But its worse than that: Jeb has big general election problems too. A particularly embarrassing summary list at the end of WSJ/NBC Question 8 shows Jeb dead last among 9 public figures, groups and organizations when it comes to the positive/negative feelings feelings held by all adults (not just Republicans). Why would people dislike Jeb? Hes the pleasant, articulate Bush! Yet hes 11 points underwater (23 percent positive to 34 percent negative). Thats worse than Bill Clinton (56 positive, 26 negative), the Federal Reserve, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, Janet Yellen, Barack Obama, Scott Walker and even his brother W. Did I miss something? Did Jeb invade Iraq?
Would any of Bushs billionaire backers invest in a business or product with these kinds of numbers? The Bush campaign certainly wont be able to use this poll to push Rubio out of the race, since Rubio trounces him in it. I wouldnt show the poll to Columba either.

We have had a far left ideologue for the last 6 years. So why should we consider being a moderate a requirement?
All of the single issue voters look at him and ask will he advance my issue? Their conclusion seems to be at best maybe, at worst he opposes their position.
Nice Jeb? He stood by and let Terri be starved to death.
Ugh. All of the sell-out with none of the values.
You can keep him.
How about no more new world order candidates?
As a Florida resident during ol’ Jeb’s term,I say—Walker or Cruz!
He sucks. QED.
He'd have to alter his stance on amnesty for ducks though.
Romney didn’t raise a family of deadbeats.
It is ironic Jeb talks about family, immigrant and hispanic values when his own house is not in order.
Romney’s record on immigration appealed to moderate whites and conservatives.
McCain and Bush pushed open borders extremism. Perry and others wanted to dabble in it as well.
he actually is supposed to be the smarter of the brothers.
I will not vote for him as like his dad and brother, none is a conservative.
Saab?
Jeb Bush is a maggot.
What really burns me about him is the constant attitude that he knows better, that he understands the foibles and foolishness of his lessers, but that he has been there before and knows what's what and he just has to clear enough of the pesky rabble out of the way and then he can really get to it.
When in fact he doesn't know sh!+ except GOVERNMENT sh!+.
Bush fatigue.
Bush fatigue defeated GHW Bush in 1992.
Bush fatigue got Obama elected in 2008 and reelected in 2012.
Yes, give Hillary a few more stumbles and they might welcome Jeb with open arms.
Jeb has the same strategy as Mittens, he can win by plurality in enough states to get the nomination, he does not care about majorities
Romney's record on illegal aliens was that he was outed TWICE having illegal aliens working the grounds on his estate.
His campaign rhetoric did resonate with conservatives. Romney was lying to get elected which he proved with his support of amnesty shortly after his loss. I held my nose for him, but did not believe he would enforce the laws any better than this one or his predecessor. We can't elect any more cheap labor importers. Perry, Rubio, Huckabee, Bush are all out. Walker says he's changed his mind, we'll see. I've been lied to by so many politicians I don't know if I believe him. I knew better than to believe Romney about anything, he's a chameleon that has taken every side of every issue at one point or another. Have you seen the videos of his debates with drunk Teddy for Senate?
Good point... At least about Terry Schiavo. Sometimes people can’t be blamed for oddball spouses.
Yes. The old 900 model is my favorite. They’re getting harder and harder to find, though.
Yup. Typical liberal “progressive” behavior.
Because he’s a RINO+.
