Two senior Secret Service agents -- one of whom is a top member of President Obama's protective detail -- reportedly drove a government car into White House security barricades after drinking at a late-night party last week.
The Washington Post, citing a current and a former government official familiar with the incident, reported Wednesday afternoon that the officers on duty who witnessed the March 4 incident wanted to arrest the agents and conduct sobriety tests. But the officers were ordered by a supervisor on duty that night to let the agents go home, said the sources, who spoke to the paper on the condition of anonymity.
Witnesses reported that the car’s overhead flashing lights had been activated and both agents were showing their badges to get through a section of the grounds that had been closed off due to an investigation of a suspicious package, according to the people familiar with the incident, the Post reported. The vehicle ran through security tape before hitting the barricades, which an agency official said had been set up temporarily during the investigation into the package.

One can only imagine how miserable the duty would be when one is assigned to protect a$$holes like the Obozos.
I had a SS friend, who was assigned to LBJ before and after JFK was killed. LBJ became a nightmare for his SS members. My friend and a large % of those assigned to LBJ asked for transfers or resigned if they didn’t get transferred, which is what my friend did.

For a long time, I have recommended something similar which drives the FR government drones nuts.
Every Federal Government Worker from GS 7 and up, when a new president is elected has to sign a letter of resignation which are presented to the new president’s staff. Those letters of resignation are valid as long as that president is in office.
When the new president is sworn in, he/she/it or staff can invoke those letters of resignation if and when needed.

To say I’ve become jaded and convinced to the belief (starting with 9-11 and other such events that originate with incompetence) that there is complete embedded incompetence and corruption in our government is an understatement.
Those on the top feel they need to give immunity and a pass to underlings like these incompetent drunk secret service agents who might spill the beans on those who are on top.
Only the little people in America are held fully accountable and pay taxes, while the government hacks get 6 digit pensions and all benefits covered as do the 535 members of Congress of both Parties at our expense. We need to see them fired and expelled as would most average Americans.
