Republicans definitely have distinct good feelings about Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker as the wrangling continues between the GOP presidential hopefuls. Yes, Mr. Walker is making all the required campaign stops and grassroots visits in New Hampshire, Iowa and other key states - while his reputation and image win over many Republican hearts and minds.
Scott Walker could be a formidable candidate for the Republicans in 2016, combining conservative credentials with a good national profile, says Kathy Francovic, a YouGov polling analyst. The organization released these numbers on Tuesday.
79 percent of Republicans say Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is a strong leader.
74 percent say he cares about the problems of average people;

I’m with you on Cruz, but Walker looks like he resonates more with the GOP voters right now. Cruz needs to make a move in Iowa & NH soon or else Walker is going to be impossible to catch up with.
Barring some big change, he’s got my vote.
OR we could make it easy and replace them with people like Walker.
I had kind of hoped we did in November.
Exactly! I just read somewhere here on FR that Walker is "W" without the compassion. What utter horsefeathers. What the country needs more than anything is a President who is out of reach of the elite. Both "W" and his daddy are of the Skull and Bones society. Most all of the current administration and the majority of regimes that preceded that, all the way back to Woodrow Wilson are members of the Council on Foreign Relations. Not just the principles, but the staff going deep down inside the trenches where the real grunt work of government is done. Walker has none of that, nor does he offer a ready channel for that to enter his realm. That has got to be terrifying to TPTB.
Cruz is great but all his windmills are still standing. Walker has taken on the lefties and won, in spades.
I’d like a Walker/Cruz ticket. Or Cruz as AG, or on the Supreme Court.
Agreed, Cruz is great, but Walker has repeatedly proved himself in battle with the lefties. We have the best lineup since Reagan. Its good to be deep in talent.
Really?
Your post makes it sound like Ted Cruz is a “talker” who only produces words while Scott Walker is a “doer.” Words? Are victories in District of Columbia v. Heller, Bush v. Gore, Elk Grove Unified School District v. Newdow, League of United Latin American Citizens v. Perry, Medellin v. Texas, and about 65 other Supreme Court cases just words? Look those up and see what they were about.
Don’t worry, grasshopper. we all love Ted, too. And thank you for that list—It reinforces my point that he would do well as AG iron the Supreme Court.
