Times of Israel ^ | 3/17/2015 | Jonathan Beck and Haviv Rettig Gur

Posted on 03/17/2015 1:14:27 PM PDT by The_Victor

Polling stations opened at 7 a.m. on Tuesday as Israeli citizens headed for the ballots to vote for Israel’s 20th Knesset, bringing a heated campaign season to a close. Polls from the end of last week left options open for a tight race. TV exit polls were published at 10 p.m., as polling stations closed, after which official results began to roll in. The official final results won’t be publicized until Thursday.

All we can do now is pray.

If not for Netanyahu than for Israel.

I don't want a page in a History book to read "Because of Israeli Leftist Leadership a Dirty Bomb Destroyed Tel Aviv"

Huh? Why is the Obamedia calling it a tie? So they have room to “find”
the number of votes they need to win?

ABC News doesn’t know how to interpret. It’s not a deadlock. Bibi is the one who can form a coalition based on the results for all parties.

He will be yelling "RAACCCIISSST" if his bused in arabs are defeated!

may be wishful thinking on my part, but for one I really want polls to be right. It’s reminding me of the USA in ‘12 when, if only ‘native born’ Americans voted, Romney would have won in a rout.

You GO, Bibi...

Good to hear this. He’s a damned decent man, and a Patriot for his country.

Perhaps John Boner(sp?) should invite Bibi to address the House again and hear Bibi’s plans for Israel’s future?

Bang! Zow! Take that Obama!

not so fast

It look like the Times of Israel is reporting on the conservative coalition that originally elected Bibi. The mainstream news is looking strictly at the Likud Party.

Bibi posts (translated from Hebrew): “Against all odds, a great victory for the Likud, a great victory for the national camp led by the Likud, a great victory for Israel.”

Remember, Any time Obama pushes for a result, the anti-Midas touch usually comes into play.

I remember Shas is the Ultra-Orthodox party. I guess the gov’t checks will keep rolling so males can do their Torah study.

The lefties will hit the keg a little harder tonight, and not just because it happens to be St. Patrick’s Day.

The prime Minister is elected by the parliament. Members of parliament are elected directly, but the number of parties is much larger than the US. Conservative parties will pool their MPs and elect a prime minister usually selected by the largest conservative party, Likud typically. See post 2 for the quick breakdown.
