Supreme Court justices have quoted foreign laws and foreign authorities in their decisions since the beginning of the court. It's never been the sole, or even primary, support for their decision but it's been there.

This sounds like a fine start to me to close the barn door now.

Looks like you're closing the barn door when there are no animals inside to escape.

Of course there will always be those with their head firmly implanted up their ass.

Really? I had no idea the Supreme Court had quoted foreign law as precedent since its inception.

If you could quote the first case, I’d be much obliged.
