Army Bro!
How be ye?
We hit 70 in the afternoon yesterday - this morning, I walked out to my van at 0530 in rain - by the time I made it behind the wheel it was all snow. Our temp hovered around 32F all day - we got a couple of inches of snow.
Tomorrow we expect temps in the 60's. Go figure!

I would want to chat with Brahms, but that’s just me.

THE CHAMBER MUSIC OF LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN
Trio for Piano, Violin & Cello in G, Op. 1/2, Third MovementThe scherzo, marked simply allegro (quickly) in G Major and 3/4 time, is wonderfully laid back. The middle or trio section turns to the minor but lays back a little more.

It’s a shame you didn’t. You would have so many cool stories to tell your grandkids! :)
Not to mention awesome music to introduce them to!

Many that I would want to chat with - not only musicians, but poets - Yeats, Dylan Thomas, Edmund Spenser and particularly Geoffrey Chaucer - if he were risen from the grave, I could discourse with him in his accustomed tongue, thanks to a couple of my undergrad profs.

Middle English? Too close to that damned French for my tastes.
Elizabethan English for a chat with Shakespeare or Ben Jonson? That would have been fun. Especially over a few pots of ale.
My German might just have been good enough for a chat with Beethoven, Schubert or Brahms. Of course, both Beethoven and Brahms could navigate English reasonably well, although Beethoven's English was Elizabethan in character because he learned the language from arranging ancient folk songs.

OMG!!!!!!!!!
Were have you been?! Every weekend, I check in at the Canteen. Is Ms. B there? When you aren't, I feel shattered, I bury my disappointment and hope you'll be there the next weekend.
And so...
(GENTLE HUG) 'cos you might be in pain.
(CHASTE SMOOCH) 'cos I don't want to dine on a knuckle sandwich from your hubby.
Good to have you here. I've gone from Rockumentary to doing a retrospective on Beethoven.
How are you doing?
