Religious broadcaster: Christians 'must' prep for martyrdom over gay marriage
Examiner ^ | 3/21/15

While speaking at a conference titled "U-Turn: A Conversation with Pastors on Society, Culture and Leadership," Sandy Rios, director of governmental affairs for the American Family Association and host of a daily radio program, said that Christians should prepare for martyrdom if the Supreme Court rules in favor of gay marriage, the Raw Story reported Friday. Worse yet, she said such a ruling could crush America.

Just wait until the gay activists go after the main line churches that support traditional marriage. When gay couples ask traditional marriage pastors to bless and conduct a homosexual union, we are going to see lawsuits and probably prison sentences. No doubt, the IRS will deny tax exempt status which would cause many churches to go under and we’ll have jail time for failure to pay taxes. This could get ugly, and I won’t be surprised of there are violent incidents.
Sure, we’ll always have the Joel Osteen type churches that will do whatever the government wants. But, the true remnant will need to go underground.

I read her comments in the associated link.

Agree 100%

Then I read the comments. ????? Lots of ‘confusion,’ to be kind.

In fact those comments feel like the beginning germination of what she is talking about.

Martyr - that means death. And I do think things will go that far. Ugliness and persecution first.

I've been saying for well over a decade now that this is the homosexual agenda's end goal: to destroy Christianity in America. I've also predicted that the lawsuits against Churches will start this year, and homosexual radical fanatics will go after the smaller churches first, as the smaller churches won't have the financial resources to fight back.

The end goal is to get this to the US Supreme Court to either force churches to perform "gay" marriage ceremonies or be forced to close by the Feds.

I don't think Sandy Rios is far off with the martyrdom claim.

“No doubt, the IRS will deny tax exempt status which would cause many churches to go under and we’ll have jail time for failure to pay taxes.”

That has not been the case with interracial marriages since Loving v Virginia and churches have not been penalized for conducting inter-faith weddings.

its completely against the constitution to be forced to violate your religious beliefs...

think about this....moslems are not going to allow their mosques to have homo marriage, even though they might practice that particular diversity privately...

nobody is going to tell the moslems that they have to grant status to two homosexuals....at least I can't imagine it...

if the moslems have rights then the rest of us do too...

and if the churchs must close down, then so be it...we'll gather in parks or parking lots or peoples homes to pray....we'll have Mass at rented halls...

the churches NEED a lot of parishioner money...if they don't fight for their rights and our rights then they will loose millions of church members along with all that cash

As mentioned in related threads, we can probably ultimately blame the widespread uncertainty with how pro-gay activist justices are going to decide gay marriage on the ill-conceived 17th Amendment (17A), state lawmakers foolishly giving up the voices of state lawmakers by ratifying that amendment.

Please bear with the following analysis of gay marriage and 17A.

With all due respect to mom & pop, as a consequence of her parents likely not making sure that she was taught about 10th Amendment-protected state powers versus constitutionally unprotected “rights,” the religious broadcaster is seemingly going into a panic mode with respect to pro-gay activist justices wrongy politically “amending” the so-called right to gay marriage to the Constitution from the bench.

More specifically, she probably does not know that activist judges have been wrongly ignoring that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay marriage. So since judges and justices actually have no constitutionally enumerated gay rights to throw at the states via the 14th Amendment, the states are free to do the following.

The states are free to make laws which discriminate against constitutionally unprotected gay marriage, as long as such laws don’t also unreasonably abridge constitutionally enumerated rights.

And a hopefully growing number of partriots who are wising up to judicial corruption at least now have some hope that the Supreme Court’s decision about gay marriage is not necessarily going to be the final word on that issue.

Regarding 17A and gay marriage, if the states legislatures still controlled the Senate then there would probably be all different faces on the Supreme Court right now, justices more protective of 10th Amendment-protected state sovereignty, including the constitutionally unchecked power of the states to prohibit gay marriage.

In the meanwhile, patriots have a lot of work to do to restore the constitutional republic, making 17A disappear hopefully towards the top of the list.

Sure as hell I am not going to be a martyr.

If it comes to it I’ll be a fighter. I’m not content to just lay it down.

Nobody will go after the moslems. The government loves them and everybody else is afraid of them.

I’ve already decided that I am no longer filing a federal return - this is the end of the line. I will not continue monetary support to a morally corrupt, incorrigibly evil government.

Excerpt from Ann Barnhardt’s site:

2. Many people have asked about specific courses of action. Let me re-post my list of action items:

1.) Media strike
2.) Education system strike (or, put another way, not engaging in child abuse by sending your kids to Marxist-Sodomite indoctrination centers.)
3.) Financial market strike
4.) Tax strike (Max out withholding (if not self-employed) and then don’t file. DO NOT file a false return.)
5.) General strike
6.) Armed counter-revolution

Failure to engage in options one through five GUARANTEES the necessity of number six. Sadly, that is where we are going.

3. Of course, prayer and fasting are antecedents to the six points above.

Best post of the evening. You are dead on target about the maliciousness of the 17thAmd ... Unfortunately it was a Nebraskan who screwed over the nation with that lame-brained scheme - U.S. Senator George Norris, and turd-packer Ben Nelson was made from the same mold. Seems Nebraskans have done much to destroy the Constitution, and not much of a damn thing to preserve and protect it. No, I am not from Nebraska - but I’m stuck living in this EBFNW sh*t hole.

If no one upholds the Constitution - then the Constitution is moot and irrelevant. We can scream about it all the day long - and it does not matter.

Power resides where people believe it resides, and those with the greatest willpower to either create the impression they have all authority - or those who SHOW that they have the authority - wield power and the force of law, whether it be righteous or tyrannical.

Case-In-Point - the IRS, also in charge of ObamaCare I might add.

If Obama suspends suspends the Constitution by default, and no one in the authority of checks and balances holds him to account - then he gets away with lawlessness and it becomes permissible, precedent and ‘lawful’ should he decree it.

All our crowing about the 10th Amendment, 17th, 1st, 2nd, 4th and so on - is meaningless when the rulers have decided that the document we think they are subject to, is irrelevant and subject to their ‘interpretation’ regardless however ridiculous it may seem.

We are past the point of reining in this tyranny via civil means. The corrupt and the usurping have successfully created the impression that all legal authority begins and ends with them, and therefore power resides where the populace believe it resides.

Where this goes now, is use of force. Either to force subjugation to the new interpretations of law and policy - or to force compliance with what was legally ratified.

That is now all that remains - excepting massive events that will take everything into a different paradigm.

Exactly. As I just wrote above: Where this goes now, is use of force. Either to force subjugation to the new interpretations of law and policy - or to force compliance with what was legally ratified.

Of course a righteous and wise people can instigate the tyrants into using force by refusing to comply with their evil decrees no matter how ‘lawful’ they are declared to be by the rulers.

Then, we have a God-ordained and natural birth right to self defense by every means available to us.

I would like to address this ‘gay marriage’ issue here with an idea.

The word and the institution of ‘marriage’ has been surrendered by the church and given to the state. The process of that surrender started with the idea of ‘license’.

As with all things given to the state, it has been corruptedchanged into something it is not intended to be. And now, it will be used to try to FORCE those who disagree to comply.

So, how about this, Christians; the church will no longer perform weddings or marriages. Instead, let our churches only perform Ceremonies of Holy Matrimony. This is a biblical term, not given away, that has not been redefined. Eliminate the word ‘marriage’ entirely. A couple would not be ‘wed’ in ‘marriage’, but rather joined in Holy Matrimony.

Church members, think on this, check your church bylaws if you have them. Propose this to your church if it rings true to you. I am to mine.

Just my humble 2 cents.

A fellow pastor and I discussed this issue two weeks ago and your plan is the EXACT course of action we plan on taking. We are about to rewrite our constitution and bylaws to reflect this and we will also be prepared to abolish the entity we cal our church and reform it without a 501c3.

If the Supreme Court rules in favor of the homos, then the Supreme Court will no longer have any legitimate Constitutional authority.
