If Obama was based on only his mother’s citizenship then so is Ted. Not saying Obama should have been allowed.
Cruz is not a NBC
Realistically, nobody is going to challenge his right to run for president.
There have been so many threads about this topic in the past. Ultimately you would need a court ruling on what “natural born citizen” means in the context of running for president. I’m just saying, realistically, nobody is going to challenge Cruz in court on this issue.
Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona before it was a state, and still ran for president.
John McCain was born in Panama of American citizen parents.
In 1968, George Romney was a leading candidate for president in the GOP primaries. He was born in Mexico of American citizen parents.
I don’t think anyone ever challenged the right of any of the above to put their names on election ballots and run for president. Accordingly, I would be shocked if anyone would do anything to stop Ted Cruz from running due to his Canadian birth to an American citizen mother.
After Precedent Obama, Ted Cruz is clearly as eligible he was. No one was interested in what Article II sec.1 meant when Obama ran. Whatever it used to mean, it now means as long as one has one citizen parent, one is eleigible.
Neither is the Kenyan currently in the White House. So what?
If a Kenya-born Moslem can be POTUS, anybody can.
Cruz addressed this at the Iowa summit with Sean Hannity. He said he is a citizen of the United States by birth, that is, at the time he was born he was a citizen. And then he said the Constitution requires that the president be a natural born citizen. Case closed.

That would be the end of any conservative majority in the country, and would extend the politics of Latin America north of Mexico.....Cruz sounds tough on immigration.....but is trying to mislead people about his ultimate position.
The specter of "creeping latinosim" shadows the American way of life. Americans know.... no matter what they say, in the end, Cruz's tribal politics prevails...it's always "them" against us.

In my private universe, and I am convinced I'm not alone, the issue is settled.
Hussein is a phony, a fake, and not a documented U.S. citizen. Never was; never will be.
His executive order on his first day as president, hiding his entire life history, is all the proof I need.
Although I don't need or seek further proof, when he attempts to grant himself a pardon when leaving office, it should convince even the sub 70 IQ crowd that they swallowed the greatest fraud in the Nation's history hook line and sinker.
